I am an exchange student from Brazil and one of the biggest challenges for me was to find my place in this world, to discover my vocation. Ever since I began considering new alternatives for my university education, I have been convinced that I should study a particular course that was truly interesting for me. Therefore, I knew that I wanted to study Tourism and applied for InHolland University in the Netherlands. Currently two years later, I feel pleased and satisfied with my decision. Having day-to-day interactions with locals, getting accustomed to their habits, customs, traditions and culture, gaining a first-hand judgment and experience will broaden my horizons in life. In addition, I could improve my communication and creative skills, which are crucial for being in this business. The opportunity to study one semester abroad and build experience in another international atmosphere is something unique, I will be able to make new acquaintanceship and hopefully meet new friends and future business partners. Furthermore, going on exchange is a chance to be adventurous, explore the unknown and try new activities that have never been within my reach before. I see myself as considerate and reliable, sensitive and tolerant towards others, and I do believe I would fit well with a student community in new country. I have spent reasonable time considering the broad list of destinations for International Exchange provided by InHolland University and I strongly believe that one of the best options for me is a university in Spain– a balanced choice in terms of old and prestigious universities and one of the friendliest multinational environments in the European
The University of Pennsylvania promotes this wondrous idea that students should be free to explore, and in the process innovate something amazing. Simply the thought of unrestrained inquiry titillates my expansive curiosity. Just as Magellan, Cabot, and famed explorers of the new world had been fascinated by knowledge beyond their boundaries, I am a conquistador. But rather than pursuing the riches of the Fountain of Youth, I seek the treasures of fruitful study and intellectual endeavors.
I can truthfully credit my goal setting abilities and successes to the Carlson School of Management. Through both the opportunities it presents and the experiences it awards its students, I found myself excited and forward looking when it came to benchmarking my career academically, socially, and culturally. I have been able to create and improve my four-year academic plan, successfully expand my social and professional network, and collaborate with students coming from countries all around the world. And as I look forward through my goals, I apprehend the boundless opportunities for advancement. Studying abroad in both Barcelona and Madrid, Spain would facilitate my intellectual growth through exposure to knowledge, concepts, and/or experiences
As a young child I was always fascinated with education since I was raised by parents who were not able to finish their education. At that young age the only goal I had was finishing high school and go to college. I didn’t think much of my goals until I realized that there was more than just going to going to college and getting my diploma. When I first viewed Wichita State’s campus I realized that I wanted to be part their campus by participating in clubs and joining a sorority. I wanted to make a difference in the campus by meeting new people.
Art is an incredibly versatile tool that can be useful to all other fields, without it, we wouldn't be the technologically and scientifically advanced society that we are. It has helped explore and depict the human body, and better understand the human mind through observing the way we use and interpret art pieces, therefore contributing greatly to biology and psychology. It is also to artists creative minds and keen understanding of space that we owe our most impressive architectural structures along with our first maps and depictions of our world, important contributions to geography, history and sociology. Most importantly, visual arts are also necessary and present in all cultures to express and share our different visions of this world,
I believe the knowledge acquired in schools and colleges is not an education, but the means to it. It is this faith that makes me ‘a knowledge seeker to the end of my days’. Of all the memories of my childhood, one I deeply cherish is that of my first day in school. I obviously remember the tears rolling from my eyes as my parents bade me good- bye leaving me in an unknown environment.
Please discuss your interest in science and mathematics. * My fascination with science and mathematics began at a very young age. In elementary school, I was already taking accelerated math classes as well as participating in science quest, an after-school club. With science, I have the option to explore the unknown and satisfy my curiosity of the world around us.

Consequently, my limited funds have made travel to Europe low on my priority list. However, I have realized that a San Diego State University exchange program is the only opportunity I will have to immerse myself in a culture outside of my own. The program I applied for is a semester-long program that will take place in spring, 2016 at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which is known for its wide array of disciplines including my two areas of study, Humanities and Spanish.
After spending a few weeks in Spain studying the summer before my senior year, I found that studying across the globe was one of the most exciting and influential moments in my life so far, and felt that, with the right university to help me get there, it would be a part of my future studies. From UChicago’s various on campus programs to help me towards a career, to the study abroad programs that would
