Essay #1 Throughout my high school career I myself have participated in various Service activities which I believe all have benefited the community. The one service activity that stands out the most for me is when I began two Lego Robotics teams for children in elementary school and mentored the two teams. I was inspired to help tutor these kids and the I myself had the idea of mentoring these Lego teams because I remember how much I enjoyed building Lego robots when I was a kid. so;, I thought that what better than to teach kids about Robotics. While I was notam not able to fully coach both teams due to my younger age, I was the one that took the initiative to help start the two teams by talking with the principle of the elementary school and helping secure a grant to help fund the teams. During this I assisted theassistedhelped the kids on my team face real world problems such as time management, public speaking, and how to deal witproper waste disposal procedureshow to deal wih trash. During these trials problems I helped the kids organize their thoughts and gaveive them advice by listing the pros and cons of their proposed solutions certain solutions they come up with. At times such as these who would I turn to other than the members of National Honors Society? As well as being adept in almost all curriculums, members of NHS are very easy to work with and always offer great advice for schoolwork. Who wouldn’t want to join a group like this one? I certainly do. I think that NHS is great for all of those reasons. I would want to join NHS so that I can help any students that are in need of homework help. I want to be involved in all the service projects that NHS does for the community. I think that community service is vital to the improvement of the
