High school, it is what it is. It’s going to be mid-August, naturally you’re already going to be hot as it is, and adding it’s the first day you might be stress sweating as well. Don’t panic, the world isn’t going to end, but it’s just going to start a new journey. You’re also going to face about a thousand new faces too. But, don’t panic. Walking onto a campus as a freshman is insanely crazy and a tad scary, people who already attend the school know where everything is, and naturally as a freshman you can be lost. It’s a nervous feeling to think that current students will know you’re lost or confused, it can be a little embarrassing too. Don’t worry, that horrible gut feeling you have the first few weeks will go away soon. When you begin to learn your way around campus, you’ll come to the realization that not everyone is …show more content…
There’s no easier way to make really nice friends who have the same interests as you other than joining a club, sport or entering a fun elective class. Usually in most high school’s there’s typical clubs such as, sports clubs (the sports you join vary the club), Chess club, Science club, Robotics club, Woodshop club, French club, Spanish club and more! In the ASB office at your school, there is a paper with a list of the school’s available clubs to join and the clubs are often open all year to join so don’t hesitate and get the courage to go out and do something new! Same thing with sports, announcements will be made all year long about sports conditioning so if that’s what you’re into or you want to get into, then go! There will always be someone or a coach there for you, you won’t be lost and people will help you too. You may or may not like it, if you don’t it’s okay because there’s many more options than that one thing, you tried. Of course on all sports teams have that one jock with a head full of confidence but more than likely on the team there’s some teammates who are sick of that individual too, so again you won’t be
As a freshman the transition was some what difficult for me. These are somethings I think would be good to new for the middle schoolers that are tranistioning into highschool. First keep organized. I can 't stress that enough because if you don 't you will lose things really easy and become a real mess. Another thing is a personal opinion but I don 't think that going to your locker every passing period is a good idea.
Becoming as upcoming students from middle school transitioning to high school can be a scary experience for many freshmans. Having different fears such as getting late to their classes the first week, not knowing who to talk to in their new classes, and what type of teachers they are going to get. A few ways that I overcame my fears as a freshman is by not getting lost in the school building, overcoming hard-work plus a lot of homework, and making a few new friends. First on how I overcame my fear by not getting lost in a totally complete big and new building.
High school can be rough! You have bundles of homework and to prepare for college. I feel like you have less friends in high school, then you do in grade school, you have all these friends and you’re always spending time together, but once you get in high school, I feel like you lose all your friends. Once you go into high school I feel you get too know who your real friends are. Try not to get too close to friends in high school because you never know if they will stick with you or they end of leaving.
Although it is a big change from middle school, there are always people to guide freshmen. Getting lost in the long halls of HHS is usually the biggest freshmen fear, due to the constant talk of the size of the school. Walking in on the first day and seeing the building layout can either put their fear to rest or make it all the more terrifying. For freshman Jacob Drexler, it was
The transition from middle school to high school was a big change for me. The 3 reasons why the transition was a big change for me was because I don't have classes with my friends, I don't have effective teachers, and my curfew was extended when I entered high school. Having to adapt to this change has been hard for me, but slowly I am getting used to it. Having different classes from my friends is one of the reasons why the transition from middle school to high school was a big change for me. For example, in middle school, I had all my class with my best friends.
The most common groups in high school are athletes, cheerleaders, band members, and the smart students also known as nerds. Not every student is athletic, flexible, really smart, and can play a musical instrument. If the student is not either one of those than I think that it would be very difficult to fit in. When students are a part of social groups like the ones I gave examples of it is easier to be accepted by people in high school, because groups like athletes are role models and leaders of the school most likely. Nerds also play a leadership role in the school such as being president and valedictorian.
The transition from middle school to high school caused many questions to fill my mind. Who will be in my classes? Will I be friends with the same people? Will I make new friends? My first introduction to high school was through band with May Camp at the end of 8th grade.
High School is a very scary world and every high school student is forced to pick their path on their four-year journey. No matter what, people are going to make mistakes and have embarrassing stories. High school is place where the best and worst memories are made. High schoolers get to be young and carelessly free. They just have to be careful of who they trust.
First Day of Middle School I was trudging to school on a crisp summer day. I had lazily wriggled myself out of bed about a half an hour ago. It was my first day of school at Sartell Middle School and I was shaking in my shoes I was so nervous. I was a 7th grader and had just switched schools to Sartell.
My first year of high school wasn't so bad, but I’ve learned a lot on how to be responsible and to care about my grades, because no know will be there to tell me to turn in my work, or to tell me what i'm doing wrong and that taught me a lot about becoming an adult. My second year of high school wasn’t the best for me when first tri started I was doing good, I was turning in my work trying to get passed the days, After first tri got over I started to get really sick, so I didn't come to school for a couple of days. When I came back to school I was behind, therefor I had to stay before and after school to get caught up. After I gotten caught up things were going good.
C H A P T E R 1 Bella's Pov Being new in schools has never been easy for me. You see my parents are those people who like to go to different places and see what it's like living there and stuff. So as you already probable guessed it, I'm in and out of schools 24/7. Meaning I don't like to make friends because once I get to doing so my parents have already found another place to go to.
Whether you may refer to this as a talent or a prominent aspect of my identity, my desire to progress and embrace change has had an significant impact on my being. The very notion of experiencing something new and progressing at it keeps my passion and drive aflame. Concurrently, I have come to the realization that our society is great not solely due to the emotional bond between its members but also to the collective development of intellect. As soon as I perceived this concept, it was as if everything around me had been thrown into a new light. Therefore, with this new mindset of developing and progressing through intelligence, I have devoted my life for the betterment of myself and my society.
Walking into the gym on the first day of school for the incoming freshman is always an adventure. From the start I see many groups beginning to form, the athletes on one side of the gym and the artists on the other. As I watch these groups, I see a variety of different people; the people who never stop talking, then the people who are excited to see their friends but not excited about school, and finally the group of people who are absolutely dreading school and do not want to be in the gym. Watching the freshmen during the activities reassures my initial observation. There are a variety of different types of classmates helping to make the high school experience interesting and exciting.
My Middle School Experience Being trapped in the state of fear and lack of self confidence caused me to struggle socially and mentally, but soon I realized how much I have grown as a person. Therefore, I am no longer afraid of starting new and taking a step forward, all thanks to my experience at my middle school MSA (Magnolia Science Academy). It was a sunny day in August when I nervously started 6th grade at a new school named MSA, a charter school located in Santa Clara, with less than 500 people including middle and high school. I started off with several challenges: making sure to achieve straight As, trying to form new friendships, and being in a new environment.
My first day of high school as a freshmen in a new level of education Is what I was thinking when I woke from slumber that morning in bed. Stepping foot on the campus wasn’t even the beginning, taking the school bus in the morning is where the first taste of being a freshmen and actually starting and being an high school student. I started to get really nervous and a sense of reality hit me. Walking towards the bus stop all I see is a huge group of high school students waiting around for the bus, calm and cool as I try to stay to be I approach the waiting area not knowing what to I’m getting into.
