As a sophomore at Bard High School Early Queens, my current ambition is to expand my knowledge on the history of our world, but more prominently to improve myself as a person, in which that’s probably the reason why everyone is here at an early college. Given the opportunities to introduce myself, I would like to start off by telling you about my goals and my anticipation i.e. earning an M.D. and become a medical doctor, or a Ph.D. and teach in the sciences, or perhaps both. Either way, my ultimate goal is to go back to Thailand; use the knowledge learned here, and apply it to my country. My love for my country is ubiquitous and I am highly confident that I will be able to benefit my country if I maintain my perseverance, determination, and dedication. …show more content…
Approximately 7-8 years later, I came to America again to begin a new learning experience as a third-grade student. At the age of 15 now, I fully understand the fact that I am the only person out of the whole big family to have the opportunities to study here in the United States; although I never consider lucky, this remains as a motivation for myself as it acts as a contributor to the shaping of my identity. As a young student with a Thai heart, I truly admire His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej i.e. the king of Thailand. Throughout his life to present days, he devoted his life to the welfare of the Thai people, where his commitment significantly improved the lives of many Thais, particularly those living in outer cities and provinces where access to modern technology is very limited. Therefore, he is always in my heart and I will definitely follow his footstep and preserve my pure
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
Have you ever wondered what you would be doing in 10 years? I have recently given it much thought and realized some things I never thought of before. We usually just think about the present time and never think about the future and what it will take to get there, but now though this assignment my goals are much clearer and will be much easier to obtain. In ten years, I will be 23 years old in a body that is more fit than I am today, in college working on a career towards the military and working part-time to help sustain life essentials.
I am Densia Wray, a sophomore at City College majoring in Political Science and possibly Public Relations or minoring in Journalism. My decision to pursue these majors came after thoroughly enjoying my Intro to Media Communications and Intro to Political Science classes, as well as my desire to create local and societal change. Although it took a while for me to make this decision, once I started listening to what I really wanted and not what I thought was wanted from me I realized what I really want to do with my life. Ever since my first real introduction to the world and its realities in my high school English classes I knew that my purpose was not to conform to what society wants from me but to challenge society to change. Over the summer
I am passionate about history, fascinated by politics, and in love with people. I strongly believe that my happiness depends on further enlightenment and unmediated engagement in an active, vibrant and inspiring community, such as Wellesley’s. I hope to earn a law degree
Jackie Robinson stated one of my favorite quotes, "A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives. " For two semesters, I have participated in the Community College Completion Corps. I have served as both Sub-Chair planner and Vice President of membership; in the former position I led the campaign. This event educates Tarrant County College Southeast Campus students as wells as faculty members about the importance of graduating from community college.
“I have a dream”....once said by Dr.Martin Luther King, but now I’ve taken this saying to heart and more serious; because, I have a dream to make it to the National Football League (NFL). I want to be the best there was, the best there was and the best that ever will be, and leave a legacy that only the best players or anyone after me can live up to. Domination is the only thing that comes to mind when I’m on that green turf playing that mindset will carry all the way through high school, and into college and into my NFL career. The mindset of domination isn’t the only mindset, money is another important mindset that I have, it also like a life moral to make money the way you want/doing something u love. My money would also be used positive, maybe a little guudy jewelry, clothes and clothes here and there.

Since day one I’ve been trying to accomplish that goal, to have my bachelors degree. In Puerto Rico I was on my second semester on criminal justice in the University of PR in

College was really not in my life in the beginning. I just wanted to graduate high school, then join the Army, and continue my life from there. As I began growing up, since I had this idea since I was seven years old. I noticed that in order to gain rank in the military you had to have a bachelor's degree in some type of study. Also I saw the difficulty that my parents were having for not going to college or having a low level of education.
Taking into consideration that my lifetime goals may not be easy to accomplish, I have learned that I cannot reach the top without even trying. I acknowledge the fact that I need to work hard and take any necessary measurements that will help me achieve my goals. Before I even got involved in any activities, I had to first know where I want to be. I have set myself long-term goals that will eventually lead to the development of my lifetime goals, becoming a Family Medicine Physician in the Air Force and aiding those whom serve the country.
The notorious iconic towering figure, John F. Kennedy, an American president of the United States, once famously said, "The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the disseminal of truth. I propel in the knowledge gain as a pupil. It was there, where I was amaze by academia – a rigorous community concerned with research, education, and scholarship. In a spiritual journey full of experiences, education gives us our general surrounding and changes it better.
I believe that I am unique in a very unoriginal way. While majority of my friends have a mindset to quickly finish their studies to be able to work and start their career, I don’t think the same way. My passion for knowledge, eager to learn, and strive for excellence is something that I know since I was a kid. The desire to always learn something new can be clearly seen through my attitude that is curious about something new and unique, always research on something I don’t understand, asking my surroundings including my parents and brothers, and learn as much as possible.
I used to dream to become a nurse or a doctor to help as many people as I could, but I had to give up my dream when my family fell into financial trouble. Dropping out of college, I struggled with the cruelty of life to make both ends meet. However, when moving to America, I found that I still have chances to pursue my dream when receiving encouragement from my husband. He wants me to go back to school before it is too late. Anyway, it is not easy to return to school after over 10 years.
