Sports are a vital aspect of American culture . Every single athlete pushes his or her body to the limits. In professional sports, most athletes get paid very well for their efforts. College athletes, however, aren’t getting the paid at all, This creates two questions. First, are professional athletes overpaid, and second, should college athletes receive some compensation for what they do? The answer to both questions, I believe, is “Yes.”

They are performing at high levels but unlike professionals they aren’t getting paid. These players are making the ncaa rich, the schools they play for, and the coaches. Also paying the players in college might make the athletes go to college all four years. This will help make the students smarter or at least act smarter. A lot of the money the ncaa generates can't even be all used because they have to use most of the money on the sports itself and there's really nothing to spend on the sport. So overall there's just a lot of money left over. I believe that the top athletes in college should be getting paid one million dollars at the most depending on the way they perform.
