Basketball has three different levels of competition high school, College, and NBA but all three vary from each other and they have some of the rules and characteristics.
Did you know that in March Madness (one of the biggest tournaments for college basketball) that there are over 9 million dollars spent on just betting. No commercials or anything, just betting. College basketball is so much more interesting than NBA basketball, but in the NBA the stadiums are bigger so more people come. People don't realize how lazy players are in the NBA. College basketball is so much more interesting than NBA because they try harder in games, they rebound, which leads to big things, and there has been more money spent on March Madness than any other tournament in college basketball.
Students from all over the country have dreams of playing a college sport because the chance of them playing professional sports would increase tremendously. These students have put a lot of effort and time in training for competitions in the games they play in addition to that they are obligated to keep up with their academicals. People say that NBA players don’t need college and people say they need college to be eligible for the NBA. I really think players need 2-4 years of college; people don’t look at the grand scheme of things and realize there so many ideas to why players should go to college before NBA. On the other people have other ideas of why players need college before NBA. Some sports fans don’t care how great college is for a player. College gives the player a lot of opportunities and many things to succeed in. College helps give players higher education, better basketball skills, and maturity. Colleges are scouting or looking at kids from the age of ten years old. For March Madness (college basketball tournament) a student athlete would miss up to six days of class that they would have to make up later on, due to traveling and having to be with the team. It is also more common for athletes who play football or basketball to go pro than in any other college sport.

Other student athletes continue to play because their college is payed for them. Players who play at the division three level can not receive athletic scholarships so they play for the love of the game.
Did you know that depending on the sport, students who play sports in college most likely have less than a 2% chance of becoming professional athletes? At middle schools, high schools and colleges across the country, everyone is arguing over whether or not students with failing grades should be allowed to play sports. In my opinion, a good education is so very important for our country’s youth, especially the athletes. Not a lot of kids are good enough to play in the top college sports programs in the country. But even those who are, still have an astonishingly low chance at making the professional leagues.

I was determined to get my skills back no matter how long it’ll take. I started a game of basketball with other people inside the gyms court. " A reasonable detachment is required between the expert and school level. School is for learning and the expert level is work. Without school competitors being beginner it would change the business viewpoint at the expert level. It would transform it by bringing about a draft out of secondary school for universities to draft players and purchase them and afterward they would need to do it once more once they choose to leave school (Wieberg).
College football, as an “amateur” sport, produces nearly $3.5 billion dollars a year, but the young men who play the game, primarily African American, don’t see a penny of revenue. Yes, student athletes get tuition, room and board, and lots of Nike, Adidas or Under Armour gear, but they’re really free labor. The world refers to them as “student athletes,”. There are three different levels of competition under the NCAA. Division I, Division II and Division III are the three levels associated with the NCAA.
They are performing at high levels but unlike professionals they aren’t getting paid. These players are making the ncaa rich, the schools they play for, and the coaches. Also paying the players in college might make the athletes go to college all four years. This will help make the students smarter or at least act smarter. A lot of the money the ncaa generates can't even be all used because they have to use most of the money on the sports itself and there's really nothing to spend on the sport.

I love to watch and play the game, basketball is a very entertaining sport and can be played by anyone. Basketball has many negative and positive things about it based on my opinion.
