People make promises that they will not keep but that does not mean you are allowed to give up. Staying determined and never giving up is key to being a great leader, once you have done everything to help somebody as a leader then it is up to them but never give in before the job is
Besides a good leader, one must also make a clear and organized plan. You cannot just go out and do something, it will not work. You have to be organized and have a plan and make sure everyone in the group goes by it. Once you know the plan, you have to go full out. When you want to make something happen and leave an impact, you will have to not back out, but also get others to join in with
In our society we’ve always had leaders, people who stand up and direct others to jobs, it’s just part of our society and everyone has expected it. Teachers encourage to stand up and take charge when in groups which only reflects the outside world as well, however some people don’t fit that model and instead they are looking for someone to lead them, someone to be responsible for their decisions because they can’t take the pressure and/or the consequences that come with their decisions. The boys in the Lord of the Flies by William Golding all look for someone else to take charge and tell them what to do. Need someone in charge so they can blame someone when things go wrong? They immediately look for someone to take charge and lead them, to tell them everything's gonna be okay.
Along with setting the expectations for the players, he or she must set the expectations of the assistant coaches and the specialized coaches. The act of setting expectations for the coaching staff is vital to the whole team running smoothly. If one coach along the line does not know the ability in which he or she is supposed to do his or her job, the efficiency of the team will not be as high. Another thing a head coach works on, is monitoring the lower levels of coaching. A head coach must have good communication skills among the other coaching staff in order to make sure everything is going as planned.
This has given me a broad perspective and a sound understanding of future career goals and the ability to successfully lead. Through my leadership, I successfully managed and coordinated many details involving Troopers and outside agencies actively working together toward a common goal. This ability I posses to formulate relationships with members who have been under my command, have facilitated my success as a leader. These traits I possess, in addition to my knowledge, leadership qualities, and assignment history are essential to succeed as an Assistant Station Commander.
I couldn’t let this make me sad, I had to stay mentally tough, keep a positive attitude, if I wanted to succeed. Doing that made me much more confidant, which was a great place to start. I became more self motivated to work harder and be
It means guiding a group of people to success, even if it means that I have to make sacrifices. Scholarship and leadership go hand in hand. Although being a leader requires persistence and diligence, anyone of us can be a leader. A leader can also take losses because they can learn from them. I do consider myself a leader.
In order to solve conflicts that occur between the team members, discussion of both sides of a perspective is a must. Although everyone in a team have different kind of opinion, but we also cannot refuse to listen to their opinion. We should give them a chance to say out their opinion and then point out the problem of the idea and the way to fix it. Therefore, don’t ever make your own decision before listen to other members’ opinion. On the other hand, make compromise a goal between team members is a must.
However, according to part two, this the leader should know not to put too much effort into making his men want to do the task- otherwise it would be more efficient to use one’s authority and give the strict order, despite the possibility of not getting as good a result. Balancing the effort put into motivating one’s personnel unfortunately only is a matter of experience. This is why I believe that giving cadets certain responsibilities will help them appreciate the challenge and acquire the experience. For example, if one cadet is given the responsibility of making sure his group meets the schedule it is imposed for a week, he will be confronted with the difficulty of motivating his group for it to be on time. Further, leadership exercises involving a team leader being demanded his team achieves a certain task in specific conditions will directly confront the cadet to the issue discussed
