Because of a new documentary series, O.J. has found the media bringing the spotlight back to him again. In the latest FX documentary series, light gets shed on the O.J. Simpson murder trial and possible theories about it. While no one knows the real truth about the night of the murder, one doctor believes Simpson could be a victim of encephalopathy, a brain disease that occurs as a result of brain injury. As a result, he could not control his impulses.

The documentary takes a look at the 1994 murder case with Ronald Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. When she died, O.J. Simpson was the ex-husband of Nicole, and in a surprising change of events, they acquitted him of the murder charges because the gloves investigators found at the murder scene did not fit Simpson. Because of an armed robbery and kidnapping that took place in 2007, prosecutors found him guilty and sentenced him to 33 years, but he will have the chance at parole in 2017.

Dr. Bennet Omalu, a brain doctor who inspired the Concussion movie, says that he believes O.J. has CTE. This condition has become common for a lot of former NFL players. After they died, they were diagnosed with CTE. The problem with CTE is that you cannot diagnose it until after the person's death because you have to take a tissue of their brain to send it in to testing.

When Dr. Omalu looked at the behavior of Simpson, he is convinced that he has CTE. He studied the case and looked for the signs. O.J. Simpson exhibits the classic signs of CTE. For example, he suffers from impulsiveness, irrationality and disinhibition. Disinhibition means that the person loses some of their learned behaviors, and they have a tendency towards violence.
