In family owned businesses, nepotism comes to play, and family members are reluctant to let outsiders into their fold. To be successful a business, Plato’s Diner needs to employ qualified manager and accountant. Chris and Dean needs to employ a professional manager to oversee the daily operations of the business since they both lack the skills to do so. Since both brothers are excellent cooks they should stick to that aspect of the business. Plato’s Diner location was good for marketing strategy, so was their price, and meal, however, they lack effective marketing and promotional push.
Motivation allows for an employee to work harder than he already is. Many employees tend to exhibit their ambition within careers which contain opportunities that grant the advancement to higher platforms. However, despite there being such a low amount of career advancement possibilities at McDonald’s, securing a job at the fast food restaurant did not prevent Marissa Nuñez from gaining and displaying motivation. Rather, obtaining this job sparked her desire to succeed from her first real day; she began her career with an idea to race her cousin, who was also a McDonald’s employee at the time; this race consisted of a goal which was to determine “who could get the most customers and who could fill the orders in fifty-nine seconds” (440). Although, this action was more trivial than not, it sparked Marissa Nuñez’ inspiration to strive without her even knowing.
I was thinking more as long-term benefits if I were to transfer to a different establishment and have that as a useful polished skill; however, I was assigned to the sauté position. Although I had no experience as a cook; nonetheless, for a professional company with paying customers, I sought out to learn as much as I could during training to perform the best I could in my new position. It turned out to be less difficult than my expectations because it required more basic instructions and repetitive practice than anything. I had to memorize the menu, ingredients for each dish, how to read the orders, and most importantly the process of cooking the dish itself. Due to my job literacy research, I knew the basics of cooking, such as how to flip a pan, add broth and oil, the variants of pasta, and the preparation time for the dishes.
Based on that you can see that Amy’s life didn’t go as her mom wanted it compared to Rain who was on his own even though he’s just working in a restaurant, but at least he had a dream, which is to open a restaurant on his own. There are really a lot of opportunities in this country and it is our responsibility to take advantage of them. Both stories are examples of two types of people, the one who takes advantage and the ones who don’t. Amy and Rain had the same opportunities, but Amy did not take hers as serious as Rain, and at the end Amy regretted
This experience made me feel like I had more opportunity, I could do more as a manager it make me experience a lot of things to become a manger. It did impact my life because, I wouldn’t thought I could become an manger at a fast food restaurant it made me feel like i have accomplished a lot of things because to become a manger it’s hard they would want to expect much to become a manger. It really changed me from the better because I wouldn 't expect this to happen but it did, I just had to accomplish the things that they expected me to do. I did everything I
As a result, Chipotle must continue to find innovative methods to operate its business. These methods must allow them serve products with quality ingredients at affordable prices. Its success is largely dependent on its "food with integrity" values. Another challenge for Chipotle is its two major competitors
A servant does all these items well. A servant wants to know about their people to know how to serve them best and remove the barriers that impede their people’s ability to succeed. If a servant does come back to fill your drink after initially taking your order you will not have the trust of the people you are serving. It is useless to know someone,

With this employers find difficult to adjust to those conditions and this results in the limitation of the work. As from above all it is concluded that the different management accepts different style of leadership according to their requirements only. As for example transactional leadership is implied in the restaurants for shifting the supervisors for effective results. On the other side CEO of the company always think of the best innovative idea to make their product more popular among people these are considered under the transformational leadership. According to them new ideas are best to put up in their projects to make the value of the product rise to the highest peak of achievement.
These trainings certify valuable and effective communication among the employees (Nishii & Ozbilgin, 2007). I will need to employ people that can reach my business easily. If the area my business is in has a high unemployment rate it will make it easier for my business to employ people. I will need many people to work on many different jobs. The most important person I need to employ is a chef. I will need to employ a chef because I am going to run a banqueting service and I will need someone that will cook the food for the customers.
The time spent at Western Governors University (WGU) has been a great opportunity to learn about myself, my goals, and understand the factors that influence my career choice and my success. When I began at WGU four years ago, I did not have any experience in human resource management beyond recruiting, hiring and training for the restaurant industry. In the beginning, I was uncomfortable with the limited knowledge. Yet, as time progressed, my confidence, knowledge and skills increased with each course. In working to develop my abilities to become a human resources manager, I have learned human resource management plays an integral role in increasing the effectiveness of employees to attain the goals and objectives of an organization.
This problem affects not only the health of employees, but also the wellness of customers, and both, should be the most important elements in this kind of business. Finally, workers do not receive a fair compensation for the hard work they do. After having dedicated hours and hours of their time to deliver a good service, many times they only receive a minimum wage salary. Words Cited Gentile, Dan. "Things You Have to Explain to People Who 've Never Worked in Kitchens."
As a past manager myself it is safe to say that the current generation of workers do not hold such values in their hearts. The passion for the job has to be there or you will end up with people who don’t care to serve cold fries to a paying customer, employees that don’t bother to go around to ask you how your meal is, or employees that will send a burnt burger into the hands of a customer. Hiring the right type of people is hard, but to ensure everyone leaves happy is a must. Regarding time consumption and prices, we as consumers decide how much money we are willing spend on an item. We also decide how much time we are willing to invest on said item.
Community success is largely based on the businesses, if the businesses are failing, so is the community. Applying talent pipelines in your community will also stop companies from having to search far for an eligible employee in different states, and stay local. When we provide the needed talent, work gets done, business grows, and the community gets strengthened as we become more
