An advocate is a designated individual who will communicate with the individual to understand their needs, and then speak on their behalf in their best interest. 3.8 - Explain when to involve an advocate and how to access advocacy services This type of service is involved when an individual requires someone to advocate on their behalf. This service can be accessed from the local authority, who will pay for an advocate if deemed necessary. The job description had me nodding my head! I have always enjoyed reading, writing, proofing, and editing. Being a perfectionist, having things done correctly has always been important to me. I do agonize over things until they 're just right, when most people would say it 's good enough. I would love a career where being 'too picky ' is a good thing!

Communication is a tool with which we exercise our influence on others, bring out changes in our and others’ attitudes, motivate the people around us and establish and maintain relationships with them. Communication makes a major part of our active life and is a social activity. People communicate in both personal and professional capacities for a variety of different reasons. In a work setting people may communicate to build relationships; maintain relationships; gain and share information; gain reassurance and acknowledgement; to express needs and feelings and to share thoughts and ideas. Share knowledge and ideas with others is critical for modern advancement and to make room for new ideas, especially as our technology stacks become increasingly complex and specialized.
Confidentiality: is a key care value which protects the privacy of the informations of a service user , when dealing with records and other information concerning individuals who use service. Confidentiality is a protection to personal information of a service user that helps respect the privacy of the service user by not sharing the information with others to build up a trust between the client and the care worker. Dilemma;there are times when it is not easy to decide whether or not disclose information you have to given in confidence. Confidentiality means not sharing information about people without their knowledge and agreement, and ensuring that written and electronic information cannot be accessed or read by people who have no reason to see it. Confidentiality is important because: -The person who does not keep information confidential, cannot be trusted.
As I have previously mentioned, communication forms the basis of all relationships. Even the very first exchanges of communication between people can determine whether meaningful and trusting relationships will be created or if potential conflicts may rise. It is vital that during any type of communication that respect for the individual(s) is always demonstrated, and this is a standard which is expected. The general social care council's code of practise states that ' communication should always be conducted in an appropriate, open, accurate, and straight forward way.
When it comes to observation of Body language, it involves minute observation of subtle expressions and minute gestures as well which may not be observed at the first go. Eye contact also plays a vital role in effective communication. There are times when we experience words that come out of our mouth and the ways we communicate through our body language are totally different. In this kind of situation, the receiver has to determine whether to believe verbal or nonverbal message. Regularly the receiver would select the nonverbal as it is more natural and it truly displays the speaker’s true feeling and intention. The gestures such as the way we sit, how fast and how loud we talk and how much eye contact we make send strong messages to the receiver.

I have had many years working and have found this topic to be of great importance in any relationship. We need to be able to listen and communicate clearly with others in order to maintain a progressing work environment; as well as, relationships of any kind. We need to understand that communication can be broken down into three basic concepts and by knowing what these are and how they affect how we understand each other.
When employees communicate, they provide information to the customers, suppliers and the other partners. By providing information they have to consider the mode and the channel of communication in order to avoid misunderstandings. Introduction The way communication takes place is a vital part of our interactions with others whether it be in the workplace or in social settings. One aspect of communication that is sometimes over looked in non verbal communication. This can involve anything from eye contact, facial expression, body language and proximity during the exchange of communication. This topic is going to be further explored due to the lack of knowledge surrounding the topic as well as it being an important aspect of communication.
Introduction: The process of communicating successfully with our family, friends, co-workers, business associates and people is one of the most critical skills. Communication is such a key part of life that I often tell to a person that “Its no use of someone if he/she really don’t know by associates people in their work place or area of field”.
