Technology continues to evolve and change how we do things. There have been more exchanges recently and more young people have access to them. School-aged children can communicate with people they recognize and strangers through non-face-to-face communication channels. This may affect the way young people behave, especially those who have these new ways of interacting throughout their lives. To them, face-to-face communication may not be the norm. Worryingly, this may have an adverse effect on their interpersonal skills.
Without excessive face-to-face communication, individuals may not be able to accept certain social cues. Because people communicating through non-face-to-face media do not often see people talking, they may have difficulty recognizing emotions of facial expressions. …show more content…

People do not seem politically correct when they go online and do not deal directly with people. This may be due to the internet 's anonymity. However, Internet users appear to be still more likely to express themselves in the public domain of the Internet, even if users are not anonymous. They may provide more information about themselves than in public real life. This may be simply because Internet users do not feel that people can see what they are doing and it does not have the same real-life consequences but it could be that they may not know what is appropriate to share because others are sharing publicly as well. There are social side effects when commenting online and young Internet users may not be aware of the consequences of their actions. As more and more people grow with more technology, educating students may become necessary on this
