This paper discusses the use of Communicative language teaching (CLT) to teach speaking skill thoroughly. Overall, Communicative Language Teaching method, in my view, is the best and shortest way so far to teach speaking skill effectively for students with the sole purpose of enhancing them to communicate confidently without being afraid of making mistakes in grammar or pronunciation. As for me, the proofs from many researches in CLT around the world has strengthen my teaching belief in CLT to keep on following this method in teaching my first-year students to speak. Moreover, in a modern society and connected world, communication skill seems to be in need more than the other skills which require putting in a lot more efforts. Without mentioning the hardness and difficulties faced during the process applying this method into practice, I believe it would keep evolving further more in this century to gain more
Students Name Professors Name Course Date Discourse Community Ethnography The introduction of the notion of communicative competence has been positive in the sense that communication is now conceived as a result of the successful application of not only grammatical but also pragmatic knowledge and skills. Nevertheless, this has not changed the perspective many instructors had of language, because pragmatic information has usually been presented as an auxiliary component which is to be used only when grammatical explanations are difficult or impossible. The result is that for many language educators here is still a core clement about which they have to be especially careful grammatical competence.
Introduction The challenge in succeeding in the job search-and landing a coveted first position post-graduation from university is not just about becoming technically proficient for a role but more about communicating to potential employers that we already have the most sought-after skills and abilities. Many social-impact organizations look for people who have transferable skills as well as the technical abilities. As new graduates, our focus should therefore be on the transferability of our current skills, from our current environment like the SENEX university course and extracurricular activities into the environment we would like to enter i.e. our target organisation. To excel within the education department, implementing key interpersonal communication skills is of immense importance. The interpersonal communication skills of listening, feedback and question are beneficial to a secondary education teacher as it helps determine effective teaching strategies, provides a direction of improvement for future work and presents the opportunity to develop knowledge. Most occupations require some human interaction and communication, whether it be going to the bank, sitting through an interview, or even making a phone call. Sadly, many students have a fear of doing those things and offering a class to aid in the process of overcoming that fear would benefit them. The elective speech course offered only teaches students how to present speeches which doesn’t benefit most kids. A required communications course would examine different scenarios in life when proper communication skills would be necessary and teach the students how to handle those situations. By incorporating these real life scenarios, the students will learn how to adapt and prosper in the real world.
General Assessments of my communication skills and competencies When assessing my communication skills and competencies I consider my performance and persuasiveness as a communicator to be mediocre level. In the scale 1-10 (poor to great), I would rank myself at 6, because I clearly see some areas to develop in my communications. My strength as a communicator is that I am having a relatively good routine to communicate in different venues. I usually do not stress the presentations and communication events so that will make it possible to focus on delivering the message I want to do. Also, I see as my strength that I try to continually develop how I communicate and deliver presentations in a way that the indented message is delivered to the
1)Learn what is right; then teach others, as the wise do. If you learn something new that is good you should teach it to someone else. If you learn to show respect to your teachers, you should teach that to your friend so that they will know to show respect. 2)

Aural means related to sense of hearing and oral related to verbal communication. Surely when the student is getting better in both listening and speaking they will reach communicative competence. Communicative competence refers to the level of language learning that enables language users to convey their message to others and to understand others’ messages within specific context (Hymes, 1972). Of course to reach this competence, both listening and speaking improvement is really needed.
