1. Recently on Tuesday, a very close cheerleading friend of mine named Alana Lyons committed suicide. She drove her car on the train tracked and sat in her car ready to die. I never want anyone to ever feel like they have no one. I remember my freshman year in the Freshman Living and Learning Center, I had the best Community Assistants ever. They were always there for me if I needed to talk or help with homework. I moved to college all alone, and they helped me break out of my shell. They were like a family to me and they still are my FLLC family. I could always count on them for anything. They were a support system. If my friend had a stronger support system, she would be alive today. I want to genuinely help any resident and be there support system. What will help me the most as a Community Assistant and that will help me to succeed is that I will always want to grow and improve. I am very eager to learn and take criticism.
2. Community to me is defined as a group of different individuals with different outlooks on each other that are in the same living space, which is sort of like a family. Even though a few will bump heads along the way, I believe that each will learn to

Life will have its challenges. Nothing worth pursuing is ever easy. I think the most challenging part about being a Community Assistant for me is that I am going to want to be superman, and I must realize that I can only do what I can do. I must know that my one hundred percent is good enough, and that If I put my mind to it that I will pay off. I will prepare myself by just knowing it’s okay to not be perfect all the times. I will make mistakes along the way and that is perfectly normal. My role as a Community Assistant that I will enjoy the most is being kind person to my resident. The world is full of cruel people that doubt your ability and words like that causes people to harm themselves. I will strive every day to tell my resident that anything is possible and that you will get
I shadowed the Assisted Living Manager, Coley Rainbolt. As the assisted living manager, Coley has to complete monthly, quarterly, 6-month, and annual assessments for the assisted living residents on time. She has to schedule and lead care conferences in relation to residents’ needs and family expectations. She updates care plans and arranges all the resident care needs into task specific assignments for care associates. Along with all the residents she provides for, she also manages all assisted living care associates which consists of completing interim and annual evaluations timely and addressing performance concerns.
Europe in the fifteen hundreds was a dangerous, local, hierarchic, tradition-bound, slow moving, and poor filled with the tasks of providence, salvation and community. Europe during the fifteen hundreds were a dangerous place; disease, famine, and violence all prevented the population of the era to live a long life. One of the major killers during the time was disease. Disease and plagues killed major parts of the population, the bubonic plague, for example, claimed the lives of perhaps a third of Europe’s population in five years.
Thank you for taking the time to review my personal statement on why I have chosen to embark on the journey to become a Physician Assistant. My story started several years ago, more than I care to count, when I stumbled into the health care world as a paramedic in rural Pennsylvanian. While in high school, I became friends with several other students who were actively volunteering with a local fire department. After hearing their stories about the things they were learning and doing I also joined a volunteer fire department, mostly out of curiosity. Over the course of a couple of years I discovered that the challenges that I encountered during training and responding to emergencies had unlocked some unrealized, more like unknown, drive inside

The word community is explained by the Oxford Dictionary as “people of a district or country considered collectively, especially in the context of social values and responsibilities; society.” A community is determined by shared characteristics which could include location, culture, race, or beliefs. It 's true, not everyone is fit to be a CNA. Being able to care for the elderly and bring happiness to their day, brings happiness to my day. The special calling to bring others joy, is extraordinarily rewarding. As a Certified Nursing Assistant you provide in the basic care and safety to patients as well as assist them with activities of daily living. Daily duties are given to CNA’s by the supervising RN, often referred to as Charge Nurse.
As a nurse I will develop the leadership skills and competence to uphold the commitment I made to make a differences in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Please accept my resume to showcase my interest in the position of Resident Assistant. I believe that I am an excellent candidate due to my leadership ability, my academic achievement, and my overall attitude. I am a firm believer in academia being the top priority while in college and I have proven this attitude through my performance over the past semester. As a Political Science and International Business double major at Monmouth College, who is on the Pre-Law track, I aspire to work in politics one day as a Political Campaign Manager. My academic attitude, I believe, is important for a Resident Assistant to hold because as a RA, one should be a role model for the other members of the hall.
I will find the limits of my character and break them through the incessant challenges I will face. I look forward to the responsibility of serving as a Resident Assistant, and will look forward to even greater responsibilities in the future. 4. After reading the Resident Assistant job description, which responsibilities appeal the most to you? Which are you most apprehensive
Chinatown, the home to many Chinese immigrants, holds one of the most historical museum in New York. 215 Centre St. NY, 10013 might not be a noticeable address at first glance. But this address is actually the location of the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA). Surrounded by the Chinese natives of the area, I began to look at their age, gender, race/ethnicity, and the different languages they use. When I first came on a Monday morning there were not many people around the block.
My first assigned resident was this sweet lady resident who was no longer mobile, confined to her bed and chair. She didn't have much of an appetite at times and the family was always concerned about her intake. Working as a CCA involves interacting with the resident and taking an interest in their simple pleasures of their activities of everyday living. This lady's simple pleasures included watching television, her television was set on the news channel most of the time and she didn't seem very interested. I decided one day I would suggest changing the channel, with her approval I changed the channel to the food channel.
I worked at an assistant living for 3 years while I was in high school. I ended up working full time and going to school full time. During this time, my residents became more
I believe a job as a certified nurse assistant will give me a better insight while working beside nurses and observe what set of skills nurses use. My strengths that best suit my personality and this program are determination, effort, caring, critical thinker, discipline, and enthusiastic. These qualities would reflect on a nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong in the nursing field, because ever since I was a child, I always wanted to make a positive influence in people's lives.
Community can be defined as a body of people who live in the same place, usually sharing a common cultural or ethnic identity. Hence: a place where a particular body of people lives. Another definition is a group of people who share the same interests, pursuits, or occupation, esp. when distinct from those of the society in which they live (“community, n”). Historically a community reflected that of the first definition, friends and neighbors working together to keep their town functioning and together.
