The cars were already at a standstill along Taft Avenue. Continuous honking filled the air, as infinite vehicles were bumper-to-bumper in traffic. I did not want to wait for hours to get picked up so I had no choice but to commute home. It was my first time to commute and luckily, I had a friend who went with me in commuting back to Katipunan. We were welcomed in the Vito Cruz terminal by a long line of people waiting for their turn to buy a ticket for the train. The heat was unbearable as almost everyone had their fans out, trying to get as much air blown to their sweaty faces as they can. Since it was my first time to ride the Manila Light Rail Transit Authority System, commonly known as the LRT, I had no idea where the stations were, which terminal we needed to get off, or …show more content…
When there were a few people left, we moved towards one of the lines, hoping to finally be able to get in the next train. As the train came in, it was still crowded but had already been waiting for so long so we decided to get in it. We pushed ourselves in, feeling the sticky and sweaty arms of the people inside it. I remembered the things that my friend reminded me to do and I kept my eyes on my bag during the whole trip. The doors finally closed and I almost fell as the train unexpectedly moved. I immediately balanced myself and noticed that there were no handles available to where we were standing. During one of the stops, there was an old woman that entered, accompanied by his grandchild, I assume. I could see that she was having a hard time, given the limited amount of space that she had. Without any hesitation, two of the women that were sitting immediately stood up and offered her their chairs. She was very thankful of them and made her way to the seats that were available. Everyone who witnessed it had smiles on their faces, including
They walk until they meet the train and when it arrives they are pushed
Shoving her way through the students, Krista reached Kaitlyn and together they found their way to the silver carriages that would take them to the school. Kaitlyn glanced over at her friend, "I know they like, explained the whole magic thing already, but it 's a bit unnerving being in a carriage that seems to be driven by nothing at all. " And she was right, the carriage was tacked up with all the gear that a horse would require to pull the carriage, except it seemed that there was nothing there. But a small girl, who must be a student at Hogwarts because Krista did not recognize her, had a different opinion on the matter, "Well of course there is something drawing the carriage, you just can 't see them.
Trapped, sealed, and locked in. The train begins to move. We were packed into the cattle cars. I was almost mistaken for dead and thrown from the car but thankfully my son, Eliezer, walks me. We traveled cramped together so tightly in this cattle car that it is impossible to even lie down.
The Train’s passengers weren’t aware that several BART police officers were dispatched to meet the train at the Fruitvale BART Station and nullify the situation. However, the Train was untroubled when it arrived at the Fruitvale BART Station. As the train pulls into the station’s platform, many passengers disembark. The Trains doors remained open for several minutes after arrival.
After a while the conductor turned on his microphone and said that we were skipping the rest of the stops because the train was full. I was delighted because it was getting really noisy in the cart. Then we get to Chicago. We are all both shocked and thrilled by the amount of people walking down the streets.
She was all alone thinking that she has no place to go to. As the bus came to a stop, she was led to the hotel door and all the way up to the thirtieth floor. A boy that led her to her room and spent a while showing her all the particular functions of it. She was puzzled by this, but that was the last thing on her mind. Before he left, he stood at the door and politely asked for a tip.
I think she was a little upset. She mentioned why she would have to stay with the resident’s. I told her that this was mention at staffing that staff would have to stay. When they returned I did ask, how did it go? She said that it was pretty good and that it was meant for her to stay.
We had spent three days walking and running on command until we arrived at the trains. The car was tight and crammed with a bunch of people making it uncomfortable and giving no space to lay down. We were supplied with a few
My family went out of their cars and we started going to the ticket booth to buy some tickets for us to go in. Once we got to the ticket booth we told them how many were going in. Since there were a lot of us it was very expensive. I knew in my mind the parents of my cousins and my own parents heart just sank since it was expensive. But at least we can stay here for the rest of the day, since we came early.
People were so close to one another that they couldn't lay down. Also, there were no bathrooms, so the train cars smelled terrible. The passengers bodily fluids and defecations infected
She saw that they had something in their hand and by the time she realized it was napkins set on fire, it was thrown at her. She had to think fast so she threw her books over the stall. The girls let
As we approached the red and black car, I got into the car and noticed how roomy the car was. I was very exuberated to go to Minnesota. I packed 3 very stuffy bags. One of my bags was filled with clothes. The second one was filled with all my basketball stuff.
Candy wrappers were in the floor, old water bottles still in the cupholders, and jackets, basketballs, and bags piled in the back. It didn’t matter though because we were about to have the time of our lives. The first hour was boring as always. It was boring mostly because there was no new roads to drive or sights to see. It was along first hour, too.
And yet again there are more problems regarding the train when people were “determined not to use the buses until the fare is brought back again to four-pence,” pg. 73. This same concept is seen in facilities in the
I check my watch as I race to catch my first ever Austin Metro bus home. My metro bus ride to school in the morning proved disastrous. Taking the southbound rather than the northbound bus had left me confused while waiting for the return bus and embarrassed while explaining the reason for my late arrival to school. It 's 4:33. Oh man.
