Much like in Ian McEwan’s atonement, Disney’s Frozen is a story about a wrongly accused hero and the repercussions that follow. In both texts, Context and perspective dictate how the reader views any specific character at any given time, this is shown in atonement when Robbie is falsely accused of the rape of Lola, much like when at the beginning of Frozen when the reader see’s Hans as a well-meaning prince, but as the context and perspective changes it puts these characters into the spotlight in their own way.

Through frozen the viewer is exposed to multiple individual perspectives in succession which will lead the viewer to see characters that they viewed as a hero at one point a villain the next. This can be seen in frozen with two main characters. near the beginning of the film Elsa accidently reveals her powers to the town after a fight with her sister Anna. While in the next scene the perspective is shifted to Elsa’s and the viewer is lead to view her as just a misunderstood hero instead of the villain she was before. Hans is the second character who is viewed differently through the film. At the beginning of the film he is introduced as a kind, caring prince and once he meets Anna, they have a fairy tale romance. He is a hero through multiple points in the movie such as when he is tasked with looking after arendelle when Anna goes after Elsa or when he tries to calm Elsa down and bring her back to arendelle. But after Anna’s condition worsens and he reveals his true intentions with the sisters and that he was only using them to gain access to the throne.
