Spanish came from the region of Castile in Spain, and there are other native languages in Spain as well. Another example of this would be the nation of Greece. The nation of Greece is renowned for its prowess and the monumental effects it has had on the western world. The foundation for so much of we know can be found in Ancient Greece. Like Spain, when further inspected, there’s many different regions, cities, cultures, and many other categories that all contributed to what makes up Ancient Greece. Ancient Greece was comprised of many city-states rather than a unified body. Each city-state was different in many ways and all had their effects. Some had larger or more significant effects of course, but not nothing. The two most important and significant city-states were Athens and Sparta. Athens is the most famous of the two, for it had a larger effect of Greek culture, but Sparta isn’t something to wince at. Athens was named after the Greek goddess Athena.
