The Battle of Britain and the Battle of the Midway The battle of Britain begins in July 10, 1940. As the Battle of the Midway was June 1942. Each battle had leaders throughout, Battle of Britain`s leader was Winston Churchill prime minister, Germany`s leader was Adolf Hitler head chief commander. For the battle of the Midway was Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto commander in chief for the Japanese side, the U.S leader was Chester Nimitz commander-in-Chief, US Pacific Fleet. The sequence for the battle of Britain started in August 1 when Hitler decreed with the command. August 13 became known as eagle day, when both sides had planes coming down. August 15th a day of intense attacks. August 17 the Germans established operational area. August 25th the RAF launched first raid. September 7th 300 German bombers, escorted 600 fighters. During the war the Japanese carriers started to sink. June 7 the U.S begin to start attacking the Japanese after they have claimed to Islands. U.S ended up suffering 4 carriers. U.S ended up winning the war ending the Japan threat to the Hawaiian Islands and United States. The Germans were defeated in the Battle of Britain. The Britain`s were at an advantage because they were able to land and re-fuel faster than the German`s could. Giving them more time to attack all the other ships and planes. Germans had limited time before they had to land and fuel up. The Germans were way to close to the fueling station and battling right there causing them to have gas explosions. The cost of these Battles that each side lost tons or millions of soldiers, planes, and carriers. The ones who won got an advantage. Those who lost were in brutal condition. Making them weak and easier to destroy. They both suffered in a big way because then they had to pay money to get more planes and carriers in order to be able to fight again if they needed
