Another similarity is that there is one primary ancestor at the start of the world (Skywoman/Adam&Eve). The final significant similarity is the birth of the positive and negative children. On to the differences, in my opinion, one
The United States Constitution and the Iroquois Constitution both have many similarities and differences. However, the Iroquois Constitution came a couple centuries before the United States Constitution, so some of the ideas that were in the Iroquois Constitution are now included in the United States Constitution. But this does not mean these constitutions are the same, and this paper is going to help explain some of the ways they differ and share ideas. The first of the similarities is how the Iroquois have what they call the " Tree of Great Peace." This compares to what we have with the three branches of government.
In “Those Extraordinary Twins” Twain’s first symbolic representation of America is placing the twins in the same body. What this symbolizes is how there are different factions within the twin’s body just like there are in the United States in the Civil War. Both personalities are represented by the same body but both at times must concede to the others wishes because fundamentally they are responsible for each other’s body that they share. This shared body represents how the landmass of the United States was our body as a nation, but we had two different “personalities” or ways of life and had to put up with one another like the twins have done their whole lives. This divide can be shown when in
The similarities between religions can vary, sometimes they’re no differences at all. When it comes to the stories of the Iroquois and Judeo-Christian, the differences are great. To begin with, looking at Judeo-Christian, the earth was created by a powerful spiritual being who decided to create it one day. God created the Earth, and everything with it. Including the oceans, skies, land and even the first humans to walk the Earth.
With the earth 's creation there is many theories to how it became one, one of those of which we read in class and the other got explained to us by a partner. Both of which were either the Iroquois or the Bible story. In both stories, even though two different stories there are many similarities and differences. Examples of some similarities mentioned in both stories would be the forbidden tree, the two young children, the woman are both instigators, and the last one similarity in both stories is that the men are naive.
The relationships between the three major settlers and the Native Americans differed in many ways. All the evidence needed is in the seven documents shown. Each of the documents provides insight to one of the three nationalities. It is fair to assume that the English were focused more on friendship, the Spanish set their eyes on the gold, and the French were insistent on converting the Native Americans to Christianity. Though they may have been cruel to their enemies, the natives were very kind and friendly towards the English colonizers, as stated in Document One.
The famous saying that reach to me is " No two people are alike " because it remains me of my two siblings . When you see them you 'll think they 're twin but they only have one year apart . They are so different from personality and the way they act towards each other . Abigail is the youngest and Jean Daniel is the oldest . Abigail is more outgoing , goofy and talkative and John Daniel is very quiet , smart and stubborn .
According to Doc. B, the emigrants were mostly families with children; the population ranged from young to old age. This is due to the fact that these emigrants wanted religious freedom; practice their own religion without persecution. In the Chesapeake colonies, the emigrants bounded to Virginia were primarily single individuals who were entering the New World as indentured servants under oath; these people were seeking a better, new life. Majority was men, and the youngest person was 16 years old.
To cope with this Griffin wanted to surround himself with his work, this is seen when he expresses, “‘...but, as a rule, I like to be alone and undisturbed’”(Wells 13). For most people being alone is not ideal, but that is all Griffin wanted. From his point of view the world is a cruel place where very few people
Protestantism Vs. Catholicism Protestantism and Catholicism are both types of Christianity, but they still have tons of differences and small amounts of similarities. However, it is clear to see that Protestantism is better than Catholicism, for a variety of reasons. For people nowadays it allows them with more privileges, common interest, and you can have your own opinions. Catholicism and Protestantism are two denominations of Christianity.
Each tribe had different forms of governments, different religious beliefs, and languages. Even though the Natives religion was similar to the Christian religions of the Europeans, being that most tribes had one creator who was at the top of their religious hierarchy, the whites still found it necessary
No one really knows how the world started, but a couple stories told how it might have been started. Everyone should have heard about how God created the world, that he created everything on this earth, but others could have heard the other story about the skyworld. Its really cool how different the cultures are but how similar the stories are. Both creation stories are alike in many ways. In both the creation stories they include a tree of good and evil.
The judeo-Christian story is very well known creation story. The Christian religion is very familiar to this story. The other story is called Iroquois creation this is a Native American story of how the Earth came to a beginning. There is many similarities and differences in this story. One of the differences is that in the Christian story the Earth was made by God.
There have been many villains in the Christian history we have studied in this class, and there have been a handful of true followers of Jesus (Waldo, Simmons, Chelcicky, etc.), but there have also been a few other heroes who fit
