City life vs. Country life Some say that home is where the heart is, but what is home? For some, home is a place where they can sit on the front porch and drink sweet tea, while others see home as the place where they were raised. For me, home is where I have the most cherishable memories. After living in the city and the country, I have come to the conclusion that life in the country is where my heart is. Life in the country consists of similarities and differences than in the city, but what draws me to the country is the memories of the activities my friends and I had outside, the birthday gatherings and how we scheduled our days. There are a variety of activities you can do out in the country with your friends. In the country, you can play a sport and not be concerned about bothering a neighbor to retrieve your ball. For example, my friend and I were practicing softball in my yard and she threw the ball over my head. I could not catch the ball because it was too high, so I had to chase after it. Luckily, our neighbors were not directly beside us, so I had the freedom to run and not worry about knocking on their door to retrieve the ball. The freedom you have in your yard helps to relax you from the hustle and bustle of life. Though it’s nice to have room around you, there are inconveniences to living on acreage out in the country.
