Markedly, a great deal of Renaissance artists defined themselves as Humanists. Among these artists was Leonardo Da Vinci, who uses studies to assist him in his artwork. Due to his studies in anatomy, Da Vinci’s artwork was very realistic, Evidently, The Mona Lisa is a realistic painting of an average woman. Additionally, the woman is placed upon a realistic background that looks real. Humanistic studies were used to improve artwork.

She wears a very exquisite and extravagant ball gown, decorated with laces, bows and feathers. In her right hand is a pink colored rose. She is the center of the portrait, her face turned away from the painter. From outside the world of the painting, there is a ray of sunlight that comes shining down on her. The contrast of light and dark show space and depth, the foreground where Marie Antoinette stands is lighter and where the background is left with a gloomy and dark texture.
In Document A, there are two paintings; one from the Middle Ages and one from the Renaissance. The first image by Duccio di Buoninsegna depicts Mary holding a baby Jesus in her arms. The second painting by Leonardo da Vinci displays a famous painting by the Mona Lisa, which is a woman standing in front of a fairly bland background. The Mona Lisa’s bland background makes you focus more on the person and her emotion rather than a very religious and holy background that has almost no emotion involved in it. Also, Document B presents two quotes that oppose each other in many ways.
The Renaissance began in 1350 and lasted until around 1700. The Renaissance was a rebirth of man’s view of the world. More of the lower class became bankers and merchants, which required them to become literate. New inventions and ideas were being created. Many of those advances in art, literature, and science made the world more realistic and lighter for people.

This was one she painted after the Henry Ford Hospital painting; it was painted in 1943. For example, this painting contains curvilinear lines that extend from her, she placed herself in the middle of the painting as the focal point, and it was also inspired by a tragedy (The Art Story). This painting is supposed to portray two teen lovers “The painting captures a perfectly frozen moment in time; two lovers caught by the spectator in the act of stealing a furtive kiss while no-one else is looking,” (Artble, 2016). The flirtatious young maiden is leaning in for a kiss while simultaneously looking back towards the party to ensure no-one is looking. The maiden was painted with such fashion and detail in her outfit. The main focus of the painting is the women and her facial expressions discerning the illicit action. Starting by glancing at the two lovers while they share a kiss, her beautiful dress catches the viewer’s eyes and wonder downward in a diagonal line.
What questions were asked? “In his treatise Leonardo states that the objective of painters is to represent mainly two things: man and his mind.4 The nature of man becomes visible, and therefore, accessible to the eye in the different movements, and in the proportions of his body parts. In order to represent man and his mind the artist must first create a pictorial
It’s one of the most treasured paintings in the world. When compared to the Italian standards, the panel is said to be very minor, but its regard is extensively expressed with respect to many other paintings that are said to be, in the ancient times, the most regarded.
Everyone has at least seen the Mona Lisa picture once in their lifetime. Mona Lisa is illustrated by Leonardo Da Vinci, in 1503 to 1506. Leonardo Da Vinci was an
Thousands of paintings and sculptures were made in these periods of time. In this essay, I will imagine myself being a curator of an art gallery that has a Greek room, a Roman room, an Early Christian room, a Gothic room, a Renaissance room, and a Baroque room. I will select two pieces for each room and discuss why I would put those paintings and sculptures in each room at the gallery. I will explain two pieces that I would place in the Greek room at the gallery. The first piece is a painting called "Amphora".

Artwork is a form of self-expression from an artist based on life experience, or on something that the artist feels strongly about (Berenson, 87). The product of art can help others with similar experiences but not able to express the same feeling themselves. From the product of art, people can start drawing excitement, purpose as well as encouragement about the real thing being expressed. Through a piece of art, the artist can communicate a purpose, an emotion or an idea in their work. In this research paper, I compare two pieces of artwork; Madonna and child with the saints by Giovanni Bellini and Madonna and child with the two angels done by Fra Filippo Lippi.
