[1] What are some similarities and differences between Pearl Harbor and 9/11? Pearl Harbor was a military attack, and the 9/11 attack was directly on the citizens, these two events were disasters in our country. The attacks of Pearl Harbor, and September 11th were tragedies that greatly affected our country. The significance of the Pearl Harbor attack is that it marked the US entry into World War 2. On September 11, 2001, three terrorist planes flew into the twin towers and the Pentagon. These attacks were devastating events that will be remembered and mourned forever.
