Many people may not see any similarities between the presidencies of Bill Clinton and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. At a first glance their time periods seem very different, and their economic and domestic policies may seem different as well. When truly comparing these two Presidents, however, many similarities can be seen between each of their terms in office. From the issue of funding the war debt, whether a bank of America should be created, to the Alien and Sedition Act; the two sides did not see eye to eye. However, when Jefferson became president, it could be argued that the same abuse of power that he criticized the Federalists to have done could be argued against his own presidency. It is more than fair to say that Jefferson was a hypocrite not only from a Federalist standpoint but also from the

The three main goals to accomplish was to be receive relief, gain recovery, and reform the country’s economy. Most of the nation was in desperate need of relief because many were negatively impacted by the Great Depression. What our country needed was to recover economically by ending the depression. Remaking America was an example of how our country needed to be reformed.
The United States economy was in disarray, suffering after the 1979 energy crisis. Due to high unemployment and inflation, many Americans had lost faith in the government and the nation as a whole. When Reagan took office in 1981, the recession and this “national malaise” were already about a year old. However, many people faulted him for America’s poor condition. Immediately, he addressed the declining economy, introducing many new policies that came to be known as “Reaganomics.”
