The Three Kings In Shakespeare’s, Macbeth, King Duncan states,“There’s no art To find the mind’s construction in the face” (1.4.12-13). People want a king who will tell them everything he can and will not betray them in a second. King Duncan would be honest to his county. He would not kill people, unlike Macbeth. Malcolm ran away and did not have the chance to become king, so who knows if he would have been a good one or not. These are some facts about the three kings on how loyal each of them are. King Duncan would be the best choice for the King of Scotland. First, my last choice would be Macbeth. There are many reasons why Macbeth would be my last choice to be king. There is also reasoning for my second choice. Malcolm's father was kind, and showed compassion for others. That is a good king, however that does not mean Malcolm would be just like his dad. After his dad got murdered and died, he just ran to England. When he came back from England he was suddenly ready to be king. That would sound kind of weird/sketchy to the country. Also, Malcolm could have been a nice compassionate person just trying to not get murdered like his father, and been a good king. On the other hand he could be the opposite and not been a very good king. No one knows for sure though, since he was never king. Lastly, a good king is Duncan. Duncan is a king who is loyal and and genres. Another reason Duncan is a good kind is, he has experience on being a king. None of the other kings have experience. One example on how he was loyal, is how he had given Lady Macbeth a gift for being the lady of the place. Duncan gave her that gift the night before they killed him. So obviously it doesn't seem like Duncan's generosity of giving her a gift and thanking Macbeth for what he has done for his country countless times, meant nothing to them. That just goes to show how cruel Lady Macbeth was, and how mean Macbeth had
