Comparing 9/11 And The Tsunami Of 2004

Pearl Harbor and the attacks on the world trade centers on September 11, 2001 also known as 9/11 were both events where thousands of innocent lives were taken at the hands of foreign attackers that entered our country. In both of these events thousands of lives were ended by foreign terrorists. Pearl Harbor and the attacks on 9/11 are both very symbolic in our nation’s history. First, on December 7, 1941 one the of the nation’s largest naval bases stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii called Pearl Harbor was attacked by surprise by the Japanese in hope of eliminating a large amount of our fleets so Japan could expand. The Japanese destroyed almost 20 American naval vessels, including eight huge battleships, and more than 300 airplanes.

Abstract Imagine not being able to walk outside at night or having to sell your possessions and abandon your home to spend years behind barbed wire—even though you’d done nothing wrong. For Japanese Americans during World War II, this scenario was reality. The freedom they once had is now gone, as they are put into concentration camps no longer in their home. Now having to line up for meals and to do laundry, thing you did before on a normal basis, while being hovered over. The internment of Japanese Americans in the U.S. was the act of forcing those of Japanese decent to relocation and incarcerating them during World War II.

How has 9/11 Changed American Culture? September 11, 2001 was a harrowing event that took place in New York City, NY. Two foreign terrorists hijacked four planes that were flying above New York, two of which were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. A third terrorist plane crashed into the Pentagon, a paramount government building located in Washington, DC. The fourth and final plane crashed into a nearby field a few miles outside of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

To begin with following both of these tragedies they brought the world closer together and gave the world a sense of security and gratefulness of our freedom. There were many similarities that conjoined these events; which were the United States fear of immigrants and dissidents, production declines and stock market decline after 9/11, improved technology to locate terrorist and terrorism activity, and lastly deportation and arrests of alien citizens. After the Red Scare many Americans had become afraid of alien citizens and some even went as far as to hurt and shun them out of our world. The actions of 9/11 and the Red Scare are in fact different. With the Red Scare it was Communism and with 9/11 it was Muslims, basically all Middle Easterners. Even though the date and time of the events are different, in both events men were able to step up and take advantage of fear and hatred to turn it into suspicion and paranoia. During the time of the Red Scare attack, the U.S became afraid that communist especially from Russia and China would spread throughout the modern world. The United States is a Democratic Nation and feared that the spread of communist would be good for the United States or the world.

We will soon learn that Eve had been more than lied to. Blinded by his lies this again will be Satan’s first attempt to destroy the seed line that was to lead to the birth of Jesus. “The Man Adam” had now gone against God and thus brought “The Sin”, which is death to the whole Earth including the sixth day creation “Mankind”. To really understand what happened in the Garden of Eden will be revealed in Chapter 7 “Apple or the Truth 7. In both events of Pearl Harbor and 9/11 had a damaging effect on our country. We were terrified and frightened for what could happen next. Pearl Harbor occurred on December 7, 1941 at the Hawaiian territory. 9/11 occurred on September 11, 2001 at New York City. The Pearl Harbor attack was caused from a feud we were having with Japan.

The attack on Pearl Harbor was in fact a terrorist attack. The Imperial Japanese Navy against the US Naval base. This later led to the US to World War II. (Hanson, V.wnd) After 2 years of their conflict the US begins world war II. The war was belligerent.

The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda. The attacks took the lives of 2,996 innocent people, injured nearly 6,000 people, and caused at least $10 billion in infracture and property damage. These attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, will forever be remebered as one of the most horrific days for so many people around this world.

After God formed the world with all of its numerous synchronized structures and its living creatures with all of the resources he has provided, God said that he “saw all that he had made, and it was very good”. (Genesis 1:31) In Genesis 2:15, God gave us man, dominant over all other breathing mortal. He told Adam and Eve to “take care” of his garden. He also provided Adam and Eve the liberty to eat from the trees in the garden, but there was one tree whose fruit they were banned from to eat, the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil”.

Nearly the whole country watched in horror on the morning of September 11, 2001. As the planes crashed and the towers burned, many thought it simply wasn’t true. They believed that it was impossible that someone could hate America that much. It was true, and it left lasting effects on Americans everywhere. Al-Qaeda had carried out a plan so horrific that it killed nearly three thousand people.

Puritan people wanted to establish a city of god in the wilderness. People like Anne Hutchinson, an antinominalist, and Roger Williams – founder of Rhode Island – were banished by puritans because they wanted to separate the church and the state or did not follow the rules of the Puritan leaders. Because of the first amendment, no one is forced to practice a religion. Everyone has different opinion about god and what they believe in; they have their own way of showing. John Winthrop (the first governor of Massachusetts Bay), Anne Bradstreet (first noteworthy American poet), and Jonathan Edwards (last American Puritan defender of New England Calvinism) have their own way of showing what they believe in and how they see God.
