Tennis is something that Haydn. Koushik, and Tyke all have in common. All 3 boys started playing at different times and discovered this sport in different ways, but they all are now a part of the Elkhorn High School Tennis team. Haydn started in 4th grade and he learned from his aunt and dad. Koushik started playing his freshman year because he used to play with his dad and decided to try it out. Tyke also started freshman year because he had to choose between tennis and cross-country, so he chose tennis. In every sport there are those exciting moments that everyone remembers more than others, for Haydn it was during the supers tournament, which was a team match, and it was getting very intense. His opponent had about 100 people cheering for him and Haydn had the same amount. They went back and forth and Haydn ended up winning. Koushik’s most exciting moment was during a game in which he framed a shot and it had a lot of backspin so it came back onto his court after his opponents. Tyke said “ my teammates because they make it more challenging,” Koushik said “the fact that it’s an easy game to learn but a hard game to play.” Haydn stated that “it’s a great stress reliever and I love the game.” Elkhorn tennis team had a great accomplishment this year by going to State. Tyke said that he “ wishes to compete at a high level and go to state, while Haydn said “ I felt like state went really well and we really came together as a team in the end.” Koushik added that “ no one though they would do good while the did amazing.” Considering they must travel for this sport their favorite thing about traveling is being able to jam out in the car on the way

Tim tebow was a four star recruit in high school for baseball, while he was only a 3 star recruit for football. Imagine how hard the decision must have been for him. If he chose one and it ended up not working out how devastating it would be. Nonetheless he had to be very warily on his decision. Homewood-Flossmoor varsity baseball team won Friday's home non-conference game against Marian Catholic High School by a close score of 7-6. Varsity Head Coach Todd Sippel felt the team didn’t play to their full potential and not being able to work on the field during practices due to rain really impacted the game, but a win is always the best payback. “It wasn’t perfect, but we got a victory. I’m very happy with the victory. We played good enough to win,” Varsity Head Coach Todd Sippel said.
