Outsiders, from Omaha, Nebraska, two misfits manage to find love for the first time. Star-crossed lovers, Eleanor and Park put a twist on one of Shakespeare 's most famous play, Romeo and Juliet. While madly in love, destiny tears them apart, as their future lies separate from each other. Opposition similar to the ill fated Romeo and Juliet, Eleanor and Park desperately attempt to fight back, but in vain. However, without a doubt, both Eleanor and Park walk away with wisdom and experience, as these two naive lovers, endure true love and reminisce their relationship in the story.
How sweet is love itself possessed , when but love’s shadows are so rich in joy!” This displays the way Romeo dreamt of Juliet as her true love and how that love brings happiness to both of their lives. Dreaming about Juliet proves that Romeo and Juliet are truly in love with each
In the play, Romeo and Juliet, fate affects many themes throughout the story. The theme Love vs Lust is one of those themes affected by fate, which lays the play out for Romeo and Juliet. In the beginning Romeo is in love with Rosline but then it all changes. When Romeo sees Juliet for the first time and fate has them “falls in love” (pg 1014,line 46-49)
In each story we find two young people who are in love, sadly though, both loves have been forbad. Our main point here is the divider which separates the lovers. In Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare writes, “from ancient grudge break to new mutiny” (1.1.2). Then in “Pyramus and Thisbe” Ovid writes “They longed to marry, but their parents forbade.” (947). Now that the divider has been brought to attention, we must also know that when love is restrained, it finds a way to come through.
Overall, Romeo and Juliet got married urgently because they had feelings of true love towards each other. A final reason that the feelings that Romeo and Juliet had for each other were/were not feelings of true love is They met with each other almost all the time. In Act 2, scene 4, Romeo says, “Tell her to devise a plan to get out of her house and come to confession at the abbey this afternoon.” This proves that Romeo is anxious about seeing Juliet since he loves her so much, since they have feelings of true love towards each other. In Act 2, scene 2, Juliet says, “ …I 'll say good night until tonight becomes tomorrow…”This proves that Juliet knows that she will see him tomorrow at that same time which shows that she has feelings of true love. This is because if someone knows exactly when they will meet someone they love them alot. Overall, since Romeo and Juliet meet with each other all the time they have feelings of true love.Romeo and Juliet had feelings of true love for each other.
The movie, which gave me great impression was the “The Tempest” directed by Julie Taymor in 2010. “The Tempest” is based on the Shakespeare 's very last play “The Tempest”. Taymor has generally portrayed the Shakespeare play’s amusement and touching moments into her film, so although I’ve already known the whole plot I still entreatingly watched the movie. The genres of “The Tempest” are comic and drama, so I laughed, but also I held my breath during the movie. From the film, there are several characters who leads the film.
Nadine Darniza / 12I Romeo and Juliet In the country-sides, there is this girl named Juliet and her neighbor named Romeo. He falls in love instantly with Juliet, because she’s really pretty at the first sight. Romeo told her friend about her, everything about her is so perfect to Romeo. One year goes by, Juliet moves into another house far from Romeo’s house. Romeo is really stressful when Juliet moves far away from him, but it doesn’t cut down his effort to meet Juliet everyday.
Without the Friar Romeo wouldn't have been pushed to marry Juliet, he most likely would've ended up finding another beautiful girl and fall in love. The Friar and the Nurse were the only people striving for them to be together, but they didn't think about the consequences. They pushed and fought for something that was never meant to be from the start. The Friar had the perfect plan but Friar John couldn't deliver the letter just for the mere fact that he had to go visit a sick friend, but that is Shakespeare for you. At the end of the book the Friar had confessed his plan to the prince.
Paris got the permission from Juliet’s father that he can get married with Juliet on Thursday. When he met Juliet, he was unable to hold himself back and called Juliet “my wife”. The unspoken words of Juliet’s answer are: “I will never be your wife”. Paris didn’t know that Juliet has got married with Romeo; it was why he answered confidently without understanding the implied meaning of Juliet’s words. Juliet told him ambiguously that “the truth is inevitable”.
Romeo and Juliet is a classic romance story by William Shakespeare about two star-crossed lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, falling in love. Nevertheless, their two families have a vendetta against each other, making it difficult for Romeo and Juliet to ever truly be together. This romantic set-up has been used multiple times after Shakespeare, such as West Side Story. The story itself has very romantic and light-hearted moments, but a lot of issues that aren’t paid as much attention to can be calamitous. Despite a lot of the play exploring the positives and the beauty of love and romance, the real lessons from the story are found in the primitive and belligerent nature of the characters.
