3. Prometheus and Fire In this myth, there once lived two brothers who were the sons of one of the Titans who had fought against Zeus and sent down into deepest parts of the Underworld. The name of the older brother was Prometheus who would be constantly thinking about what the future had in store and his younger brother, Epimetheus, who was thinking about the past. Prometheus did not enjoy his time on Mount Olympus with the gods enjoying their time in seclusion and please and had personal interests to improve the world with knowledge and wisdom. Secretly, he lived amongst men and helped them. One of the differences he noticed between the era of Titans and now the present era of Gods is that man suffered without the essence of fire. Before his eternal punishment, he is less-known for being a wise trickster who escaped death for many days and near the of his life, the god Hades had come to take him down to the Underworld and with him, he had a pair of handcuffs. Sisyphus urged Hades to demonstrate its use on himself and with this, Sisyphus was able to keep him locked up in his closet for many days. Eventually, Hades was released and Sisyphus sent to receive his due of process as one of the dead. When he meets Persephone, Sisyphus urges that he hasn’t received the rites of passage of a proper funeral and coin to receive passage on the river Sytx. With her consent, he returns to the surface of the living, but had committed trickery by not doing as he requested. Hades himself would have to forcibly take him down under with him and then enforce Sisyphus’s punishment for a crime against the gods popularly known as the eternal labor of pushing the great boulder to the top of a hill, only for it to roll back down again and
