Our society is very judgemental. People these days don’t realize what they do to others. In my books The Giver, The Pigman, and The Kiss of Deception; there were characters that drew conclusions about others that weren’t necessarily true. If they hadn’t learned to know the other people in the story, the book would’ve gone very differently. I believe that you shouldn’t judge a person before you truly know who they are. The first book I read was The Giver. In this book, Jonas is selected to be the new Receiver of Memory, which means he will receive memories from one of the Elders in their community, The Giver.
