Every night when I was a child, I would beg my mom to read "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" before I went to bed. I was captivated by the world of Narnia and longed to travel to this far away land. On multiple occasions my family found me in my closet, pretending I was walking on a beach with Aslan. I deeply connected with the characters in the story, especially Lucy Pevensie.
My connection with her sprung from our mutual love of animals and nature. Throughout the series, Lucy treats every creature she encounters with respect and looks at the world in a unique way compared to her siblings. Similarly, I find such peace spending time in nature and appreciating the simple things in life such as the smell the grass has after a rainstorm,
