An edifice built for a single person, their beliefs, and the stars in the sky. These are the surrounding aspects of the pyramids in Egypt and Central America, and while there are some similarities, there are many differences between the two kinds. The Mayan pyramids are located in Central America. They have stairs, with 365 steps, on each side of the pyramid that lead up to the “entrance to [the] inner temple chamber” at the top (Source 4: Infographic).
