Kesey shows us that the men are the victims in the scene with the men talking about fighting back. “He couldn’t continue in his hero role if he was sitting around the day room all the time in a shock stupor” (Kesey 291). This quote shows that the men are victims because the man was put into the EST machine because of some minor thing and after a while destroyed him and his brain. Elaborate more, look for clues in text. Another place where the men are obviously the victims is when the men are up getting examined for the flu season and they are talking about the EST machine and how they cant believe they put people in it for such minor things.

When Victor was on his death bed he had said, "he is eloquent and persuasive; and once his words had even power over my heart: but trust him not. (180) In this warning Victor was telling Walton, his friend, to not trust the creature even though how persuasive he is, because how the creature tricked Victor he may be able to trick Walton as well. Nevertheless, another way to show that Victor 's creature is inhuman, it is how he is prone to snap. For example, it shows when the creature is having a conversation with a blind old man, his son walks
He gets flashbacks a lot of what happen in the cyclops; land and Skyla and also when his friends eat the fruit and didn’t remember a thing. I could support this with evidence from the article “WHAT IS PTSD” in the article it say that when you see a tragic thing you get flash backs and nightmares of what happened and never get over it. Also in the article this woman name Gina has flashback of herself being a child and couldn’t protect herself when her uncle sexually abused her. Odysseus did not want to go war because his son, Telemachus, was just born but he went anyways. Odysseus’s abyss occurred when he sees the prophecy and saw that his mom died and everyone was still grieving. In The Odyssey there were many initiations but the most significant one was, when Odysseus and his men find the cyclops and they are not able to escape. To enable the men to escape Odysseus gets the cyclops drunk, then stabs him in the eye, and then escapes riding on the bottom of the sheep. Finally his return was when Odysseus returns to Ithica he finds that other men are trying to take over his throne.

This was shown when Tom and Huck played jokes on Jim. Also, in the middle of the book, Huck played an immature joke on Jim when he placed a dead snake’s skin in Jim’s bed, which made the mate bite Jim’s foot. Another time, Huck fools Jim into thinking that their separation on the raft was a big dream, and Jim expresses that he was so scared when he lost Huck that he was heart broken. From then on, Huck promised to never hurt Jim again because he felt so bad for him. This was shown when Huck said, “I didn’t do him no more mean tricks, and I wouldn’t done that one if I’d a knowed it would make him feel that way” (102).
