My family lives very different in USA compared to Thailand. We have lived in the USA for ten years and many things have changed our life and there are many opportunities. My family life is getting much better and we live in living good place. We lived Thailand more than fifteen years, and I didn’t think about to reach my goal, and my life would be nothing there. Thailand is smaller country than USA. These two countries are different in three points’ education, jobs, and health.
First, I came to USA, finished high school, and now I am in college. US College is expensive, but I don’t have to pay tuition, also I don’t need help from my family to pay for my tuition. I am applying for financial aid which is provided by the state government. I came

No one would take care him much because everyone is busy with school and working, mostly he would have to do everything by his self.

I am a first generation immigrant; I arrive into the United States as a refugee. As every human being set a goal, I have also set myself a goal of education. While I was perusing my educational goal, situation came where I have to choose between education and work. Healthcare and access to medical aid vary from country to country, and because of this inconsistency, there has been an ongoing debate on which country has it right. While America is Canada’s closest neighbour, our countries have prominent differences when comparing our Healthcare Systems. Although the United States health care has vastly improved since 2010, the system still acts with major flaws leaving over 30 million residents without health coverage today. Throughout this essay, I will be comparing at the drastic differences of Healthcare Systems in Canada and the United States. The most prevalent differences between the two healthcare systems would be that Canada has a universal healthcare plan for citizens and the U.S has private and public plan.
There are many different cultures in the world and how they approach medical needs may not all be the same. As a Vietnamese American I know both ways how American people and Vietnamese people approach for healthcare. Most American when we are sick we go to the doctors and they diagnose us with whatever and give us a prescription for medication or would refer us out to a specialist that would be able to help us. While Asians or better yet Vietnamese when we get sick we sometimes do not just go to the doctors we try herbal medications at home on our own and on what knowledge we know and from our friends and families. Also we believe in that acupuncture can help us from a lot of different things it can help with trembling, aches and such.
The American Dream really impacted the civilian life as many changed their roles and hoped for reaching success. This eventually lead to many outcomes of today’s Americans who thrive the cities of the land of the free. In today’s society there are still levels of class in any country. Because of the high population, there might be no chance to whenever one could succeed in achieving their dreams unless they were born in that social
Besides, I have learned so much over the past few years living in America. I have join sports team and did other services that I had never done before back in Thailand. I also had the privileges to attend school for free until I got to college which is no longer free but I still need to work
The similarities of doctors and hospitals in both countries operate in the same manner as both have private and government operated entities. The differences begin with how each country pays for their healthcare systems. In Canada, citizens are taxed and the government pays for the medical services. In the United States, both styles of payments are provided by government and citizens through insurance. Another difference is the wait time to have a procedure done, in Canada the wait time can be 4 times longer than in the United States.
The Presidential Scholarship is a full tuition and room and board scholarship. What makes you more deserving of this award than students of the same academic caliber? For the majority of my life, I did not have adequate “room and board”, even within my own home. When I was born, my family was financially insecure and when my parents divorced, my mother raised me in a state of poverty.
Moving to America brings great opportunity to an individual and their family. When my parents moved to America, success was within their reach. My parents could purse their education and soon find their career. My mother has always explained why she was so relieved when my grandparents first told her that they were moving to America. My mother knew that her and her family will be free, they would not have to live in poverty anymore.
Becoming a part of the United States has impacted my life significantly by giving me my ten amendments, by giving me a free education, and by giving me a home with everything I need. Overall, the United States has provided countless options towards being the best individual I can be in the land of opportunity. Remaining in Mexico would only lead to a life of struggle and

My family came to United States of America two years ago, and everything was new to me. The United States was very new to me; therefore, I had to learn everything from the beginning. Once I came to the United States, I started realizing there are many differences between two countries the United States and VietNam in which I was born. New environment, new culture, and the language is the biggest issue. One of the most differences is transportation.
While people of both countries have the right to obtain healthcare, it will cost them money from either directly paying for healthcare, or by paying heavier taxes and having it provided for free by the government.
Cover Letter This essay made me do a lot of thinking about what family meant to me. There were a lot of words that came to mind but I came to the conclusion of only a few. There are SO many different definitions of family, love, support, etc.
The most common and typical American Dream is the dream of being super successful and wealthy. It’s been a common belief for many years that when you come to America you can get rich very easily and do anything you want. Even though most people have a lot better opportunities in America then their home countries, getting rich and famous is still pretty challenging for most people. Their are a few people that actually became rich and famous from coming to America, but its very few compared to those who don’t become rich and famous. Most people who come to the U.S. do not become rich but they do become more wealthy then they were in their home countries because of how poor some of the other countries are compared to America.
Moving is always hard. It is harder if you are moving from your birthplace to a culturally different country after spending most of your teenage years. I moved from Bangladesh to New York about a year and a half ago and let me tell you, it was not easy. I had to leave the place I grew up in, my friends and relatives and start a new life here in America. Probably the only good part was that at least I was with my family throughout this hardship.
