In The short story Dark they were and Golden Eyed made by Ray Bradbury in 1949 where hundreds of people had to evacuate earth because of a nuclear world war, they later were faced with the dangers of mars and many different struggles that they ignored which led to them turning into martians, ray bradbury wrote this to show the possible issues and addressing the dangers of exploring mars.Later Micheal McDonough made the radio play Dark They Were and Golden Eyed in 1984 with the same plotline in an attempt to recreate the feel of old fashioned radio plays from 1940-1950.These two narratives may seem very similar in plot, but have different techniques to portray the characters emotion and the setting by either making the reader infer how the …show more content…
