Chapter 1 Introduction 1.1 Background of the Study According to many experts, the global circumstance, travel, tourism and hospitality industry is one of the largest service industries which contributes over 9% to global Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and it is one of the fastest-growing and largest employment generating industries in the world. Furthermore, it is the vital role in creating employment opportunities for local people not only within the tourism and hospitality industry but also other different domestic industries, such as foods, transport and other services. It is not adequate just to maintain the business; it needs to keep going if a business wants to achieve the success and sustainable future. Improving service offerings by determining the needs and wants of their target groups in order to serve them better and satisfy their demands because exceeding their expectation is more important in order to magnetize their return which leads to customer satisfaction and achieving a suitable level of profits, developing in efficiency, effective marketing, staff training and development are all vital for survival and competitiveness in a changeable business environment.
