1. Ensure the workstation is properly clean , adequately lit, appropriately ventilated.Ensure the workstation is room temperature when removing and assembling PC.I brought a Flat head and Philips head screwdriver to unscrew screws and attach screws on PC case and motherboard.I used a flashlight to assist the viewing of the writing on the motherboard.Ensure that you have thermal paste for CPU . Remove the front panel covering the drive bay. Slide the optical drive in from the front of the case on your computer into 5.25 inch bay inside the case . Align the optical drive with the front panel of the computer and screw the two screws into the compartment to secure the Optical drive. Connect the SATA power cable from your power supply to the appropriate place on the back of your optical drive. Connect the SATA data cable to the port at the back of the optical drive and the free SATA port on the motherboard.
9. The I/O panel shield is found at the rear end of the computer case , where the connector for the motherboard extend out for your monitor,USB devices and other peripherals.Clip the I/O panel shield at the rear of case from interior and apply pressure to the four ends of the panel to secure it to the computer case. Ensure the I/O panel shield is secured in the correct direction. Check the that the connectors on the motherboard fit through the holes and are aligned correctly on the I/O panel shield to ensure the I/O panel shield is aligned …show more content…

Ensure the Powe Supply Unit you buy fits in your case and the main power supply cable is compatiable with your current motherboard. Place the Power Supply Unit into the interior of the PC case rear panel so the the four mounting holes align correctly with the case,ensure that any air intake fan on the power supply that is located in the case is facing towards the center of the case and not towards the case cover, Ensure the AC power Connector on the Power Supply Unit is facing out of the exterior PC case rear panel ( the back of the power supply unit containing the plugs and the fan should be visible on the outside of the rear panel) . Hold the power supply in place and fasten the power supply to the PC case rear panel by screwing the four computer case screws into the four mounting holes this locks the Power Supply Unit into place. Connect the main power cable on the power supply to the main power connector (24-pin ATX power cable/20 –pin ATX main power connector/+12 V main power connector whatever main power supply port/connector is provided with your motherboard) on the motherboard. Attach the power supply to other computer components/ devices, using the smaller cables on the power supply, the most common hardware is hard drives and optical drives. Normally these device use a 4-pin molex style. Find the correct sized/appropriate power leads and attach them to any hardware that requires
