Shakti, Chit, and Prana
Every act, every thought, every activity involves awareness, do these actions instinctively, unconsciously, and without deliberateness and awareness is consumed in the maintenance of the Self. Perform these acts deliberately and with impeccable Intent and one increases awareness.
Shakti, Chit, and Prana are terms that have interconnected meanings; Shakti (aether) is the most subtle or pure of the forces and is the original source of Chit and Prana, while the latter is also the power that flows through the Sri Yantra when activated. Shakti is often referred to as “Spirit,” “Divine Spirit,” or “Holy Spirit in western esoteric circles.” In Hinduism in it is considered the primordial cosmic energy representing the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe, a divine feminine creative power, sometimes referred to as 'The Great Divine Mother.
Concepts similar to Shakti, Chit, and Prana can be found in many cultures; for example, it is Prana or vital air in yoga, Qi (Chi or Ch’i) in Chinese culture, Mana in Hawaiian culture, Lüng in Tibetan Buddhism, Ruah in Hebrew culture, and Vital Force, or Orgone energy in current Western esoteric philosophy.
Chit is consciousness or awareness and is the source of all sentient life, whereas Prana is a vital force or cosmic energy believed to energize the material universe. It is believed to be the principle or force responsible for the formation of all matter and is considered the originating

Karen Armstrong and Robert Thurman wrote their essays, “Homo religiosus” and “Wisdom”, respectively, describing two words, “being” and “void”. These words, although have opposite meanings, describe the same spiritual experience that come about through different means. By definition, “being” is a kind of fullness or completeness of existence and “void” is emptiness or a negation of existence. Armstrong believes that “being” is the equivalent of the Buddhist’s “Nirvana” while Thurman believes that “void” is the equivalent of the Buddhist’s “Nirvana”.
