Nia is very set in her ways of learning. She is not open for new ideas of how to problem solve. I think Nia needs to intensify her Confluence Learning Pattern to help her succeed in her assignments. She needs to put more of her own thoughts and ideas into her work. She needs to brainstorm the situation with her Confluence Learning Pattern to make the assignment sound like her own words, rather than coping her words from another writer. I also think Nia needs to tether her Precision Learning Pattern to help her describe in detail where she is receiving her information.

I need to work on FIT with my Confluence Learning Pattern. It is hard for me to connect things that are completely unrelated. I need to learn how to brainstorm ideas of how to solve a problem without being afraid to fail. I always think of another approach to a situation and still am to afraid because I do not know the outcome. I need to think of the big picture. Once I learn how to intensify my Confluence Learning Pattern, I know there is nothing that can stop me from earning my degree here at Ashford University. I also need to intensify my Precision Learning Pattern. Even though I sometimes think I know it all, their is still so much more to learn. I need to ask more questions and improve my reading.

For the second and final RMA I choose a book Natalie has never read before and I little higher lexile level since she didn’t really struggle with the books I chose before. After looking at Natalie’s RMA there were mostly syntactic with no self-corrections. I had Natalie listen to the recording with me on my phone. Many of the miscues she made were very close to the actually words. I think she missed the words because this was a more challenging book.

This means that I can use a variety of strategies to retain and understand information. From this questionnaire, I also learned that my strongest learning categories were kinesthetics and visuals. To continue supporting my success as a student, I plan to combine kinesthetic and visual learning strategies with the resources that Walden provides. Walden’s Academic Skills Center provides a variety of resources that promote the success of Walden students (Walden University, 2023). Resources in the academic skills center such as peer mentors and success strategies can help me to strengthen my learning style as well as help me enhance my academic and professional skills overall.

Throughout this unit I had many verbal exchanges where I used clarity of speech effectively and kept calm. Additionally, I spoke with confidence when giving presentations. I learnt to be especially aware of my communication during the opening of a verbal exchange as these first impressions have the most impact. Using eye contact and having a friendly smile was also essential to highlight my good intentions and nature. As well as this, intonation was key when speaking as it showed the emotions behind my words.

Number four is titled “they can write clearly and persuasively and movingly” (p. 8). This paragraph is described as being able to touch, teach, and persuade people through your writing. I do think I lack this trait, but I think that my expected experience at Central and more importantly, my intersections course, will help me to become a better writer. Typically, I hold myself up to the average standard in my classes. I wish to take more initiative in my endeavors, but am somewhat unwilling to put in both the time and attention.
We all appreciate good communication. Whenever there are positive vibes and good feelings around the unit it creates a healthy working environment. When we can create a healthy working environment then soldiers will perform their duties better and with a positive attitude. Communication
I still average between 50% and 70% in each category. Although I, personally, think these are decent averages, I aspire to learn more about the components of critical thinking in the future and demonstrate them in any aspect of my life that I can. While I admit that my own critical thinking skills have not advanced as much as I would have liked, I would like to further advance my skills in the future. Since I learn best through demonstration and practice, I plan to develop my skills by using them in different settings, as a leader of my church and in the designated departments of my organization, as well as in my everyday life, so that I can learn to adapt to my thinking skills whenever necessary. I also want to further examine my own biases and other obstacles that may be preventing me from advancing my skills.
