Conspiracy theory Lily Plumley 11-3-27 3rd I picked the topic “Elvis Presley Faked His Own Death.” People claim that “The King” did not die in 1977 on August 16, that he faked it. People believe he faked his death because of numerous reasons. They say they’ve seen sightings of “The King” in 1989. The number one reason they believe he is still alive is because on his grave, his middle name Aron is spelt as “Aaron.” Aaron was his genuine middle name. But, Presley or his parents tried to change it to “Aron” to make it more similar to his twins middle name “Garon.” In 2005, Presleys wife had an interview with Oprah. While talking to her about Elvis, she talks about how he spoiled their daughter. His wife had said and I quote “it’s …show more content…
Also, his daughter has an interview in 2003. In the interview she evaded Larry Kings question that he asked her. He had questioned how she felt with her communication with her father. Another reason is that Elvis was connected to the mafia. A women had looked through some of Presley’s FBI documentaries and came to the conclusion that he had to go into witness protection. She said and I quote “Do I know if Elvis is alive today? No, I don’t know,” she said. “But I know he didn’t die on August 16th” Brewer Giorgio said that the FBI had pot Elvis has a undercover agent in 1976. Because it was to help the agency infiltrated a criminal organization called “The Fraternity.” Brewer said that Presley volunteered because of his love for America and respect for the FBI. The author on the other hand had said that they approached Presley because someone in the authority had to deal with him over the sale of an airplane Presley had. Presley was found a “mole.” Meaning he snitched in the bad people. He was then put into the witness protection program. They had got this information from FBI documents and interviews. Numerous amount of Americans believe that Presley had died in 1977. In 1977 only 4% of Americans thought he was still alive.
Since the the day Elvis Presley was proclaimed dead due to a drug overdose on August 16, 1977, rumors and conjecture have hypothesized that he is still living. Some claim he is living in secrecy, escaping the life he had created for himself as arguably the most popular and influential American musician of all time. Is it that Presley fans essentially can 't give up, or arrives truth to the ravenous bits of gossip that he faked his own particular downfall to pick up the security and peace he needed amid his fame.
Johnson theory is credible. In many video tapes of President John F. Kennedy being shot, viewers see that the bullets hit him from different angles. This must mean that there is more than one shooter, because it would be impossible for one shooter to hit Kennedy from two different angles in a moving car. Another way this theory is credible is that Johnson’s mistress, Madeleine Duncan Brown, has said that on the eve of Kennedy’s assassination, he said “After tomorrow those... Kennedys will never embarrass me again.
Another conclusion stated that the John F. Kennedy assassination was the result of a government conspiracy. In 1968, the investigation into the JFK assassination had been

JFK Assassination Conspiracy Theory John F Kennedy was assassinated November 22 1963 in Dallas Texas. We believe he was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Kennedy was shot in the chest from behind, the single bullet theory is a theory about how Kennedy was shot from the back and the bullet also injured the Texas governor John Connally. Then there was the Umbrella man theory. This theory was about a man who held up a black umbrella as the limo with JFK in it approached.
My next and final topic that I chose is The Harlem Renaissance. The Harlem Renaissance was rooted in the struggle for black civil rights. During and about right after WWI, in a phase of the Great Migration, some half a million African Americans moved from the rural South to the cities of the North. Most people moved in hopes of escaping the poverty and the oppression of Jim Crow Laws. They encountered racist hostility nearly as bitter as they experienced in the South.
Elvis faced many obstacles during his 24 years as the “King” he faced racial controversy, musical barriers, and bad press in order to help create Rock and Roll music. Long before Rock n Roll was created or even thought of, the musical world was divided over petty differences. One of the many reasons why music was divided was the heavy racism that plagued the United States since the end of slavery. Another reason why music was divided was the fact of a huge generation gap, or difference between parent and child. These are some of the challenges that Elvis faced.
Five days after the Confederacy’s surrender, John Wilkes Booth had successfully killed one of the most influential presidents in American history to do what he believed would redeem power to the southern states. Booth’s main goal was to tear down the Union’s government by taking down their leader and his successors, but the original plan did not involve the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Historian Christopher Hammer explained in his article "Booth's Reason for Assassination", the former actor had created a group of co conspirators and designed "a ploy on March 17 to capture Lincoln as he traveled in his carriage [and had] collapsed when the president changed his itinerary—and several of Booth’s conspirators ultimately left the group.” (Teaching History). Since the failed capture of the president, Booth hatred towards Lincoln grew after hearing the president’s goal to officially abolish slavery in his Second Presidential
The men arrested would not speak of who sent them there but they were later traced back to Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-Elect the President members. Nixon seemed to be in enough trouble, being moderately involved with this scandal, it was then known that the crooks had also been wiretapping the office and stole copies of top secret files. Although even to this day it is unknown if Nixon knew of the break-ins in the Watergate while it happened, it is fact that the President had sent hundreds of thousands of dollars in “hush-money” to the burglars to keep it out of the public eye. Nixon and his affiliates then began attempting to create the CIA to stop any further investigations of the FBI’s on the Watergate scandal (Staff). The former president continuously denied he was involved in the scandal, until the court ordered he handed over recordings that proved he attempted to redirect the fact-finding (“Richard”).
Convicted murderer and cult leader Charles Manson were once quoted as saying “You expected to break me? Impossible! You broke me years ago. You killed me years ago”. On the surface, this statement may sound like brass bravado.
Chasing Lincoln’s Killer by: James L. Swanson I will be writing about how Lincoln’s killer John W. Booth as he assassinated Mr. Abraham. His plans continued to fail, but he kept trying. John came from a long line of family with good fortune. John Booth was a Confederate it had been a bad week for the Confederacy. John said “(he would enjoy a stunning reversal of fortune)”.
The singles sold well in the Memphis area immediately, and by 1955 they began starting to sell well to country audiences throughout the country but especially in the South. Presley, Moore, and Black hit the road with a stage show that grew ever wilder and more provocative, Elvis’ constant dance moves especially his swiveling hips caused enormous debate though out America. The last Sun single, "Mystery Train," hit number one on the national country charts in late 1955. Presley was a performer with superstar potential, attracting the interest of big labels and Colonel Tom Parker, who became Elvis' manager. In need of capital to expand the Sun label, Sam Phillips sold Presley's contract to RCA in late 1955 for 35,000 dollars.
Elvis Presley has had more impact on American society and culture than any other person in history for the three following reasons; his large contribution to the start of the generation gap in the 1950’s, his huge impact on rock ‘n’ roll music, and finally, his music opened a door for some integration between races. First of all, in the 1950’s Elvis Presley and his music started the era of the generation gap between teenagers and their parents, an era which is still going on today. With Elvis being very young, attractive and his new type of music and dancing, teenage girls fell head over heels for the young star. Most parents though, did not feel the same way about Presley. He was often described a vulgar and many accused him of corrupting the youth.
To Kill a Mockingbird is a story that takes place during the Great Depression in a small town located in southern Georgia in the 1930s. The book focuses on Jean Louise “Scout” and Jeremy Atticus “Jem” and their coming of age and the major events that made the two grow up. One of the events was the trial of the Mockingbird, Tom Robinson, in which their father, Atticus Finch, was defending Tom, a man of color. Mockingbirds are used throughout the book to represent people that were harmed by the society even though they were innocent. There is a common misinterpretation of the meaning behind the Mockingbird leading many to believe that Scout is the Mockingbird in the story.
Roger Dean Kiser shares a short story about growing up in an orphanage in “Elvis Died at the Florida Barber College” Kiser uses pathos and syntax to showcase the suppression of orphans. Kiser begins the story with a comparison of Elvis Presley to all the other boy’s saying “I mean, he had a head, two arms and two legs, just like the rest of us.” This syntax helps the reader understand why Kiser is confused about the popularity of Elvis among the girls in the orphanage. This comparison sets up the rest of the story and theme. After Kiser was asking what Elvis’ big secret was the older boy told him it was “Elvis’ wavy hair” after he received Elvis’ big secret all the orphanage boys were informed they would be getting haircuts that day.
