Constellation Academy: A Short Story

He's wearing a white graphic tee, khaki pants, a black varsity jumper, a steel bracelet, and black huaraches.

I slammed the car door of my dad's red jeep close. A smile played with my lips as I looked up at the tall dormantary in shock. Reminding myself of my lateness, I looked down at my steel watch.

'Oh fuuuck me, I'm REALLY late.. I need to go to the main building...where was that again?!' He exaggerated a groan.

"Uh...you lost?" A random female voice spoke.

Startled a little, I look up at the stranger. She was about five-fiveish with below the shoulder brown

She straightened up and took a deep breath, "I am Headmaster Ophiuchus and Welcome to Constellation Academy."

"What the heck? Your like...16...how are you our Headmaster?" Some girl blurted out in the front.

"Lidya shut the hell up." The guy next to her spat.

"Uh its fine Mr. Reed, I was also a bit shocked when Lady Terran finally appointed me to this position. But I assure you that I'm qualified for this job. I've been training for it since I was able to walk and t--" the Headmaster explained.

She was interrupted once again by the throat clearing curtain monster.

"M-more important matter to discuss," she gave a shakey breath, " now I know this is going to sound a little bit...how do I say--batshitcrazy--You guys aren't like other people. Have you ever wondered why there is a separate entire dorm building made for at least 300 students only for 12, why you have your own tables at lunch, or why you don't have any classes with the other kids except for your electives?"

"No not really..." The girl next to the blurter answered.

"Oh my God Seleste, you shut the hell up too." The same guy said

"Damn it. I better get paid for this."

"Ooh looks like we ran out of all the time we have um, lunch is down the hall to your right--spaghetti day. Orianna will show you to your tables. Remember to stay on schedule. You are now dismissed."

Orianna led us down the hall and around the corner. It was filled with grey tables and two lavender tables in dead center. Loads of students filled the grey ones and the lavender tables were empty.

"Well go into the lines and sit at the lilac table." Orianna said.

"That's lavender" Angus corrected.

She glared at him

"Hey, it could be whatever you want it to be.." he quickly walked to the lunch line followed by everyone else, me included.

After eating in the line for 10 minutes I got my spaghetti, an applesauce cup, carrots, and water. When I paid I turned around, I spotted a disaster in the making.
