Scope of research
For my research I decided to focus on the 3 types of constitutional principles, Parliamentary sovereignty, Rule of law, and separation of state, and list their Pro’s and Con’s and compare their significance and role as a part of the british constitution …show more content…

Countries with constitutions benefit, because a constitution helps prevent a country from reaching chaos. Countries need a constitution to help keep it running smoothly.

Main Benefits of a Constitution
Citizens of a country know how they should behave and know the consequences of breaking the law.
A constitution helps protect the Citizens of a state by clearly stating the government 's role, and the things they are and can be held accountable for.
A constitution clearly sets out the rights of the citizens within a state. Allowing them to defend themselves if necessary.
A constitution lists a state 's goals, helping them to keep on track.

Laws can easily be repealed by Members of parliament, Lords and the Queen, this is extremely beneficial because any laws an earlier parliament passed does not officially bind current and future parliaments, allowing the parliament to be flexible and change its laws if necessary, making parliamentary sovereignty and important principle of the british constitution.

The Importance of Rule of Law
The Rule of law helps protect the land. The main concept behind the rule of law is that equality and laws apply to everyone. The Rule of law helps establish a strong relationship between the citizens of a state and the government. “ Wherever law ends, tyranny begins” (John Locke 1689) Every Country wants a good ruler, however sometimes the wrong people gain power, Rule of law helps reduces the chances of disaster when leadership positions are taken by bad people.

In situations where Power is obtained by corrupt and immoral people Rule of law comes into play.
