I have recently acquired a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Pune. I want to pursue further education to learn advanced techniques, technologies and acquire more skills in the field of construction management. In my view a Construction Manager should be good at time management, decision making, safety issues, cost management, quality control, working drawings and human resources. He should have a clarity about the project and should have in focus the quality and timely completion of project. He should be prompt at handling various aspects of construction management which are Building Design, Pre-Construction activities, Material Procurement, Construction, and Customer Satisfaction. The project should be functionally practical and financially attainable. Not only this but a numerous construction, legal and environmental aspects need to be given a thought in the project. The responsibilities of a construction manager include specifying project objectives and plans including outlining of scope, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants; maximizing the resource efficiency through procurement of labor, materials and equipment; implementing various operations through proper coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting and construction in the entire process and developing effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts. During the final year of graduation I developed an interest in the subject Construction Management. Thorough knowledge gained in postgraduate studies will help me achieve my goals. The choice of MS in Construction Management from one of the best institutes in UK will give proper direction to my career.

Apart from my academics I have always been involved in extracurricular activities. Some of them include Poster making competition at intercollegiate level, District level Volleyball competition, etc. I was also an active member of Civil Engineering Students Association (CESTA), an experience which helped me develop leadership qualities, organizational skills and taught me the importance of teamwork.
