D. program, my goals in the short term will be to reinforce my technical knowledge and work on research that will enhance my skills in communication technology and extend the abstract understanding of utilization and generation of information. Upon completion of the Ph. D. program, my long-term objective is to get a research position in a learning institution where I will be able to share my experience and skills with other individuals passionate about the course. My extensive experience in the job market and exposure to numerous management disciplines will be a firm foundation for my studies towards my Ph. D. at your institution.
This experience gave me a completely different perspective on how to perceive spaces. I completed my internship bagging the principles, ideas and philosophy left behind by Laurie Baker. Upon graduating, I commenced working for Venkatramanan Associates, a firm that specialises in architecture and urban design, in Bangalore, India. Under the supervision of an urban designer, I worked on redevelopment of Church Street in Bangalore. I gained tremendous knowledge in this process that drew together the many strands of place-making required to create a public space that prioritizes the comfort and safety of pedestrians and
Get extensive education on interior designing and architectural drafting The next step is to smear to the college or university of your choice. Opt for courses that you are interested in encompassing interior building materials, ecology of design, building codes, interior architecture theory, lighting and color. Get adequate experience after graduating Opt for apprenticeship at a design or architecture firm. This will help you gain exposure to how things work out in practical world. Acquire License from National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Take the examination and get the license.
They also have to interact effectively with colleagues, architects, sub-contractors, contracting civil engineers and clients to reach a common goal. Civil engineers should also assess potential risks depending on the project and they should also have risk management specialist. Civil engineers should have a BSc (bachelor of engineering) or BEng (bachelor of engineering) qualification which takes a minimum or four years of studying. Civil engineers also have a registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South
In the highways team, I worked as a design engineer for various Middle East and UK projects, such as Doha West (DW) 68, 44, 02 etc and M62 J26 chain bar improvement scheme, A5036 Port of Liverpool under Hariprasad Namshamgiri, Senior Highways Engineer and AnilKumar Veernapu, Group Engineer at WS Atkins. Here, I was mostly involved in designing the horizontal and the vertical alignment. Working at WS Atkins also made me realize the limits of my knowledge achieved during my graduation. The challenges presented to me every day demanded a better and a profound understanding of the work. In order to hone my skills further, develop myself as a successful engineer of tomorrow and contribute towards the betterment of the world, a specialization in this field is a must.
My initial formal exposure to structural engineering came in the form of “Mechanics of Deformable Bodies”. This course inculcated the fundamental tenets of structural behaviour which in turn structural engineering as my undergraduate focus. On progression of my academic career, I successfully pursued courses titled “Fundamentals of Structural Analysis” and “Analysis of Indeterminate Structures” which in turn enabled me to undertake elastic analysis of structures using flexibility and stiffness approaches. Design courses like “Fundamentals of RC Design”, “Design of Steel Structures” and “Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering” equipped me with adequate tools to carryout Load Resistant Factor Design whilst introducing me to IS (Indian Standard) code for civil construction works. While my prolific undergraduate career has given me a glimpse of viable domain, I am certain my decision to pursue the postgraduate program specializing in Structural engineering will lead to the holistic development of my academic and professional
“Magkakaron ka talagang determination.”: FACTORS IN ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF DRAWING For the last qualitative question, the factors that affects the enhancement of quality of the drawing were investigated in produced theme. The perspectives towards the Architecture course, the passion, and emotions while studying or working can influence the improvements of drawing skills. Based on the study, the researchers found out that to enhance skills in drawing, an individual need to practice often because it will improve drawing skills that usually need in the field of architecture. Drawing is important in Architecture because architecture is an art. It will be the foundation of every student who are going to track an architectural course.
In addition, it also requires an effective evaluation, team development and planning to achieve the success. In summary, the introduction of this literature study asserts the importance of leadership is required to further developed in a construction industry. Thus, the main objective will be exploring the importance of leadership contributing to a construction industry as a PM. The next part will explain on the concepts of leadership in a construction
In high school, I was exposed to the basic operations of building and forming different structures on a ranch, and was able to learn how to use heavy equipment in the process. After graduating high school and completing my first year of college, I acquired an internship as a field engineer for a construction company called Balfour Beatty. I was assigned to work on the Overhead Centenary System, of a light rail system, on the North Metro Rail Line Project in Denver, Colorado. Working as a field engineer on this project gave me first hand experience in the construction industry. I worked manual labor in the field, as well as, completed paperwork and mathematical calculations in the office.
“Construction management is a bridge that connects creativity and reality”. An architect intending to pursue masters in construction management is quite unlikely. Not to mention I realized my interest for construction management as a student of architecture and as an architect in the construction industry. My inclination towards sketching buildings from my childhood has nurtured my interest for architecture. It is not the mere aesthetical elements that caught my attention but the transformation of space through various clairvoyant elements that can only be felt, engendered my cravenness for architecture.
