After the fall of Constantinople under the hands of the Mongols during the 14th century, Intellectuals residing in Constantinople starts to migrate into the various cities of Italy. for instance, bringing with them their learning and academic understanding. Consequently, these scholars commence lectures in various universities around Italy that bishops and clergy attend to gain new learning. Which, further spread knowledge about diverse fields of study such as art, science, mathematics, and philosophy in effect gave birth to the Renaissance. ‘Renaissance’ or ‘Rebirth’ is a significant period in European Civilization which intellectuals considers as a new era of enlightenment. In fact, massive improvement in the Art field emerges during the renaissance era. Firstly, the number of people supporting the artists' increases. Apparently, most of the Italian city-states we’re wealthy enough to support artists and scholars. Due to the fact that Industrialization of products such as cloth and firearms was prominent in some of the Italian city-states. Likewise, Trading is the way these Italians city-states gain their income. in detail, the richest population of Italy that time are the Venetians considering their excellence in shipbuilding and sailing. Other than that, they are also adept merchants. In fact, they traded with the greatest economic powered empire during that period which is the Ottoman empire. Purchases of the different form of artworks from artists were possible through the boosting of income as a result of trading with the ottomans. In addition to that, some of the wealthiest people lived in Italy namely the Pope and the Medici Family. Renaissance Patron Cosimo De Medici was a Philanthropist and often purchase Greek and Roman Manuscripts with a massive amount of money. Consequently, accumulates them into a library. His son, Lorenzo de Medici, subsequently, followed his father’s footsteps by being a patron of philosophers and being a patron of art. As a matter of fact, some well-known artists namely Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo produce works of art with the support of Lorenzo de Medici. Another contribution of the Renaissance to arts is the enhancement of art in general and its ideal to rebirth classical Roman culture.
