The scientific question that is in my research. Does microorganism have an effect to the formation and destruction of coral reefs? .What could factor can affect the interaction of a microorganism in a coral reefs and how can they benefit each other?
C. Significance of the Study
In my study it is good for people to know how important coral reefs are in our world and this is also important in marine resources because the coral reefs are a breeding grounds of fishes and they also source food, the fishes eat microorganisms that grow in corals or grow near in coral reefs. Coral reefs takes about 10,000 years before the coral reefs are completely formed and it can destroy quickly by several factor.
D. Scope and Limitation of the Study
1. What aspects of topic were covered by your study?
The interaction of a microorganism in the coral reefs and how they can help each other. The reason of the corals to be destroyed.
2. What limitation of the study should
The first Scientific Method step used was observing. In paragraph 2 in"Coral killer on the loose" it states, "“Between 1996 and 2012, more than half of all corals in the Florida Keys alone had died,” says Porter". This means that Scientist observed that the corals were dying because more than half died alone. In paragraph 2 of "Coral killer on the loose" it states,"The species has disappeared from more than 90 percent of its former habitat".
When too many trees are cut down the temperature of the environment increase and it also increases the acidity I the ocean. Both increased temperature and increased acidity in the ocean contribute to the damage to the coral

Coral reefs rely heavily on zooxanthellae for photosynthetic byproducts that are required for calcium carbonate production for the corals to grow. Zooxanthellae, specifically Symbiodinium, are microalgae that live within the polyps of corals. Through the symbiotic relationship between corals and Symbiodinium, coral reefs are able to thrive in warm tropical ocean waters. However,
These banks contain coral rubble, seagrass and macroalgae with other invertebrate taxa, which play a key part in the ecosystem. The bank systems contain essential fish habitats, which provide sheltering and foraging grounds. Past studies have indicated these fish assemblages showed a high diversity and biomass of coral reefs. Most of the biomass in the Florida Keys ecosystem is made up of species that stay in channels for most of the day. These signs show that the bank systems are important for the FKNMS for providing a structural support and high productivity for the biodiversity.

Research has shown that sunscreen is having a negeative impact on the health of coral reefs. Trash is dumped and left on beaches daily. Oil spills and boat use disrupt fish and marine life. Erosion has become a big consern for the stability of beaches.
5 Destruction of the Great Barrier Reef Now it is apparent that the Great Barrier Reef is a fragile ecosystem as it is an interaction of these easily changeable factors, which brings us to the threats with which the Great Barrier Reef has to deal. 5.1 Natural destruction: Crown-of-thorns starfish It seems that every animal in the world acts as a source of food for other animals; this is also true for corals. The crown-of-thorns starfish, which has 21 thorny arms and a length of 80 cm, feeds on corals, coral polyps, and coral algae.
1.0 Introduction 1.1 Purpose The purpose of this report is to investigate the impacts of urban development on biodiversity at stumers creek dog beach. This report will include data collected from the creek including; water samples, soil samples and animal and excrement surveys in order to determine the health of the environment. 1.2 Location Stumers Creek is located in Coolum Beach, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. The sub catchment of Stumers Creek covers an area of 13km2.
Oceans are peaceful, majestic, and filled with amazing and vibrant color. A lot of the prostown beauty in oceans can be credited to coral reefs. Lately though, natural coral reefs have been dying for various reasons, and some people believe that artificial reefs can help not only the natural reefs, but other surrounding ecosystems in their environment. Various articles use rhetorical techniques in hopes of enhancing their articles about whether or not artificial reefs are helping or harming the oceans. The first article, “Concern Lingers on Success of Artificial Reefs”, was written by Charles Q. Choi, and for Live Science, looks at both the pro and con side of artificial reefs.
Coral reefs have natural threats of bioeroders who eat through corals calcium carbonate shell, so if corals cannot build their shells faster than bioeroders can eat them, corals will die. This is one major example of how a more acidic ocean will be detrimental. I have consulted articles from the journal Oceanus and from NOAA. Both of these sources publish professionals in the field of marine biology and chemistry. The topic of this research paper will cover over Ocean Acidification and the effects on marine ecosystems. Ocean acidification is the decrease in pH levels of the Earth 's oceans, due to overbearing carbon dioxide being brought by the atmosphere. The carbon dioxide is drawn by seawater, where the chemical reactions take place, which minimize the pH levels in the ocean, the carbonate levels and the important calcium carbonate which these sea creatures need. When carbon dioxide disperses in this ocean, it causes the levels of acidity to rise towards the the surface, where most shell growth in marine animals have been stopped and has created the cause of reproductive disorders in multiple fish. Part of the problem with ocean acidification is human activity.
In this research paper we will explore more about coral reefs and their importance. Coral reefs are communities of living organisms. They are made up of fishes, plants, and many other creatures. They have been around for millions of years: less than the 0.1% of the world’s ocean floor Is covered by coral reefs, however they grow very slowly, from 0.3 cm to 10 cm per year.
