Mariana Lanz Biology Part 1 The scientific process is a process that consists of many steps in order to help scientists achieve a factual conclusion. Six actions are taken in this process including observation, communication, classification, measurement, inference, and prediction. Scientific advancement is the idea that, using the scientific process, science will continue to advance and grow. Scientists can use the knowledge they obtain from doing experiment and help progress different areas of science. Intellectual property is a creation of the mind that transforms into new advancements.
Thanks to The Columbian exchange, crops affected both Old and New World and the one of the major exchanges were plants. The New World had introduced potatoes, corn and tomatoes. In exchange, the Old World had brought wheat, rice and barley. A lot of staple foods and crops were introduced to these two worlds like wheat, potato and rice. By bringing wheat over to the New World, it had flourished under the ecology of North and South of America.
The Columbian Exchange, led and started by Columbus, was the trading and arrival of new foods, plants, animals, diseases, and people. The exchange had many advantages and dis-advantages. The Columbian exchange caused advances in agriculture, expansion, and discovery. In my opinion mostly everything that happened in the Columbian exchange was a disadvantage due to the Columbian exchange we have disease, slavery was started which hasn't ended till this day, and spam was able to be processed which started Hormel, yikes. Many new foods from the Columbian exchange included tomato's, pumpkins, corn, potato's, wheat, grapes and peppers.

Polyploidy plants generated by evolutionary processes and/or crop domestication have been the intentional focus of research dealing with the dynamics and consequences of plant evolution.
