I agree with the article, Ibelieve that organization is the key to allowing you to get done the responsibilities that you areassigned. This article influenced me to think deeply about myself by, wondering if I can’t do itwithin that time, will I ever be able to. Can I trust myself enough to finish my responsibilitieswithin the times I am given and can I still give the resident the correct care within this time. Iwill use this information and knowledge to improve my education career or my future in healthcare by, realizing that organization is the key to everything when it comes to having a career inthe health care field. The vision, mission, and strategic priorities need to be clear and focused and anticipate the change in the marketplace or the changes that the organization needs to make in order to drive the business and future growth forward. When this is done well, everyone throughout all levels of the organization asks how does my job connect with the strategic priorities and what is my role in the success of the organization. An analogy of this would be an orchestra playing from one sheet of music. The sound of the orchestra is pure magic. The audience can tell how special the orchestra 's performance is and the melody touches the listener 's soul.
Teams are necessary in the healthcare field because teams are necessary for the delivery of quality health care services and for a successful healthcare organization (Rubino, Esparza, & Chassiakos, 2014). Rubino et. al (2014) also mentions another important reason why teams are necessary, which is because there is no one who possess all the skills needed. Therefore, teams are necessary to bring required skills together to contribute to the purpose of forming the team. In addition, various professions are within the healthcare field and these multidisciplinary teams are essential to healthcare organization as they are why organizations can provide high quality services.
Organizational Theory Introduction The organizational culture in which I am currently employed is innovative, teamwork, team building and learning. Working in the emergency room (ER), we must all work together as a team to provide the best quality care to the patients. The organizational culture consists of many different members. There are physicians, physician’s assistants (PA), nurses, nursing assistants (NA), physical therapists, radiology technologists, social workers, medical and technical professionals, administrative personnel and important support staff including food services, housekeeping, building maintenance and financial services.
Healthcare organizations’ goals includes provide quality, value priced, safe health care services and ultimately, improve health outcomes. In addition to this primary goal, healthcare organizations also seek financial stability, community value, ethics and employee engagement. In this context, leaders are asked to efficiently use the available resources to optimize the managerial approaches to direct their teams towards more productive environment and positive interactions with patients. Healthcare setting-unlike business setting-is a more complicated system that consists of different professional teams and departments that usually don’t share the same objectives or planning strategies due to the diversity in the services provided.

Values and Ethnics The NASW code of ethics core social work values is heavily active until this day. The code of ethnic its self is a set of guidelines for the ethnically practice of social work. The core value found in the code of ethics is Social justice, service integrity, importance of human relationship, dignity and worth, and competence. This code of ethics reflexes the relationship of the worker to the client and the worker. These codes of ethnic are placed to improve and establish rules and boundaries from social workers to clients and the importance of the ethnical value its place for the helping of the social worker.
As an applicant and future enrolled student of Howard University I too hold many of the university 's core values listed above. Though many of the described values that the university instills into their students are great core values to promote I consider the action of constantly being a leader in any setting of my life the biggest factor when focusing on my growth not only as an adult but as a person.
But the same consultant cannot manage the mere quarrel between two colleagues and not capable of solving conflicting cases with patients. In the light of this comparison, I believe that I would fit the best in the collaborative style of management. There are a lot of administrators in hospitals and clinics to handle all the duties of every department, and I would like to be one of them. Nevertheless, as any leadership style, collaborative one has its advantages and disadvantages in frames of the labor environment. This type of management is beneficial for motivating and encouraging practitioners and nurses for working together as a team toward the implementation of effective processes and improvement of provided services (Al-Sawai, 2013).
