1.0 Introduction The concept of CSR was build in the 1950s. During the 1960s, the definition began changing and in the 1970s, it increase in numbers. 1.1 Definition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is commonly interpreted as Manageability; Corporate Citizenship; Corporate Responsibility; Environment, Social and Governance and Triple Bottom Line to the local people. In January 2011, Yayasan Amir, one of Khazanah Nasional Berhad’s programme have provided educational services to 10 schools in Johor and also Sarawak. Because of this, children in rural areas are given the opportunity to gain knowledge just like other children in a more developed areas and also indirectly reduce the percentage of illiterate children in Malaysia. (UNICEF 2012) Besides that, Khazanah Nasional Berhad is in support of CADS Enhancement Centre (CEC). This program is to help children who has learning disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Dyslexia and also slow-learners. This program gives children equal opportunities to grow and realize their full potentials and be independent and are respected by society and the community. This program will create a more suitable environment for children with learning difficulties because it will be able to cater the needs of the children and help them overcome their difficulties.
