Over the last few years, Costco has seen an exponential increase in the number of new memberships. While the Costco gained 2.3 million memberships in the financial year of 2009. Greater than 4 million customers signed up in the financial year of 2011. The Costco’s membership base saw a rise of 3 million in the financial year of 2012 and another 4.2 million in 2013. The strong exponential growth in the memberships continued in 2014 as well. Currently Costco holds 81.3 million cardholders and they buy in relatively small quantities, with no specific customer/member accounting for a meaningful fraction of a Costco’s total sales. Will millennials kill big box and DIY stores like Sam’s Club and Costco? The answer to that question is up to these stores to change their target market. According to Forbes, their main target market are the parents of millennials. These parents are the “the suburban, car-loving, McMansion-owning” parents who make up 63% of these types of stores customer base.
The average calories for a meal is around five hundred to six hundred fifty. Most college students get more than one item from Costco, which exceeds the calorie intake for one meal. For most college students, we don't tend to look at the calories or nutrition to be a big part of any of our meals. For me, I see the calories on the board below all of the foods; but I just look at it for fun and nothing more. Although Costco has great foods most of the food lack the nutrition needed for a college students’ body.
Costco and Sam’s Club is two wholesale stores that provides a wide selection of merchandise, at an exceptional price. Sam’s Club is a warehouse club that is owned and operated by Walmart. It was founded in 1983 after the Walmart founder Sam Walton. Sam’s Club operated about 660 membership warehouses across the world. Also, Costco is a large retail, wholesale club, as well.
It all started out as a normal morning, until 12:00 noon. My dad asked me to go to costco with him and I, as usual said “No not until I get a PC.” Which was the six words that made the miracle happen, the miracle that I wished that would happen months ago. “Fine if you come with me, we will buy one.” He replied.

It still has the opportunity to expand into the Asian and Australian markets where it has a limited presence. Costco has the capability to operate about 100 stores in Taiwan, Korea and Japan combined and about 20 stores in Australia. It currently has 41 stores in Taiwan, Korea and Japan combined and 6 stores in Australia.

Ratios help create Walmart as a company and allows investors to be able to gauge and understand the metrics of the organization. These metrics and ratios help investors understand the specific direction of the company and the effectiveness of executive leadership. The primary ratio that must be understood regarding Walmart's earnings-per-share is the price earnings ratio.
