So therefore her defense attorney had a doctor, by the name of Bettye Back, twice hypnotize Vickie Rock to allow her to remember fully what happened the night she killed her husband. During her hypnotic sessions she was unable to remember details of what happened at the time of killing her husband. An experience I had involving ethics in relation to an interprofessional collaboration was in my present nursing case. Prior to me starting my patient a 13-year-old girl had a severe asthma attack and went into cardiac arrest, died and was brought back to life this past February. Although the EMTs were able to bring her back, she has been in a coma ever since. What makes this case an ethical dilemma is that several months ago the doctors wanted to diagnose her as brain dead and remove her from life support. Through the use of medical terminology, lack of understanding about her daughter’s condition and unempathetic doctors they managed to convince the mother that her child had no hope of survival.

Redd and William Tucker, are the killers. William Tucker is the person who made all the deaths seem like it was somebody else and not him. Then he puts their body in a room and tells one of the hostages that sits next to the person that has been killed, to clean up the bloody looking mess before he returns. He or she then cleans it up and if it’s not clean enough they get a big, deep, and painful looking cut on their head. IF they have five cuts on their head then they die.

These four men had all the odds against them with so much suffering, but they rolled up their sleeves and fought through that pain because they are the true definition of resilience. Resilience is the ability to overcome adversity, fear, and show strength. Many people run away from fear, it is the one thing many hope they never have to encounter. Fear makes people buckle and waver not wanting to fight against it. It is those who are truly resilient like Jason Zimmerman and Frederick Douglass, who faced more fear than anyone could imagine, but still fought through that fear because they are the true definition of resilience.

Some deserve it because they non-repentance killers or to be serial killers while other should not deserve it because of the circumstances required them. Juveniles who killed people without any mercy should be treated as an adult and be given Juvenile Life Without Parole(JLWOP). For example, the murderer of Jennifer Jenkins’ pregnant sister and her husband. Jennifer describes, “[Jenkins’s Sister] begged for the life of her unborn child as [the killer] shot her. He reported to a friend, who testified at his trial, about his ‘thrill kill’ that he just wanted to ‘see what it would feel like to shoot someone’”(Jenkins).
Although courage is a trait that everyone can possess what sets the heroes apart from the others is the amount or to what degree they possess the courage. A hero cannot be a hero if they possess the amount of courage as the average human being, to be a hero you must be considered extraordinary not ordinary. Beowulf exhibits mastery of this trait given the trials he willingly faced head on without hesitance. When all others not dare to even considered facing the trials he does Beowulf charges

“We are very blessed to have many positive father figures,” said Higgins. “However, overcoming this guilt is a process and something I am still working on.” Her biggest triumph is seeing her daughter become her own person. “As heart-wrenching as it is to see years go by so quickly, she amazes me each and every day in new ways,” Higgins said.
