I believe I have a lot to bring to the positions I am applying for. I’ve been in positions across multiple clubs on campus that I think could bring a lot of relevant skills and experiences. For Financial Affairs, I am currently the treasurer of another community service organization on campus known as the Surfrider Foundation. Though Surfrider, I also handle all of the budgeting for our events as well as being the primary contact for the ASUC. Through that as well, I am also in charge of our fundraising initiatives similarly to the Financial Affairs Position. Through the Cal Alumni Association, I also have a lot of experience talking to outside sources for sponsorships and partnerships. For example, this past semester, I was in charge of acquiring partnerships for a large upcoming event known as the Overnight Stay Program for Incoming Freshman. Through this initiative, I’ve been in constant contact with companies like the Bank of the West, the University Partnerships Program, the actual University, and many local small businesses as well. …show more content…

Being a previous site leader, I think I have a lot of perspective of exactly what kinds of Site Leaders we should be looking for as well as being able to properly manage them. If there was anything that I really loved about being a site leader was the Site Leader Orientation itself. I remember meeting a lot of friends there that I still talk to and overall having an awesome yet informational time. A lot of the things that volunteering committee handles is a lot of logistical organizing. While a lot of my club experiences have helped me organize events such as what volunteer does, I think I can learn a lot from being a Volunteer director knowing the huge caliber in which it has to
